if you plan to roll it next expansion, wait till get conclusions. racials will be totally revamped, so now it's completely useless to reason about it.

well it can be a Very useful thing, never hurts to have a nice boost to speed, rogues use it often even out of pvp, even sometimes during raids for melee haste--but what do you mean 'additional sprint'? hadnt heard about that
Melee haste?
This...sprint gives no melee haste, just movement haste....
What I am thinking of using is sprint, prep, sprint, rocketboots, racial....me very fast.

would be good for capturing the flag in Warsong Gluch, but not much else.

don't forget to throw in a swiftness potion too. I use sprint all the time, PvE and PvP. Having the Sprint Glyph helped too. Even at the bottom end of the brackets (lvl 21, 31, etc) i was able to cap regularly in WSG (grab the flag, drink a free action potion, use the speed powerup in the cave, hit sprint, and then drink a swiftness potion). And in later levels if you go subtlety, having cheat death and sprint/vanish allows you to survive all sorts of encounters that you had no business even getting into.

my bad i shoulda clarified---yeah its movement speed increase, but that translates to speed during combat instead of just running speed--try it out on a combat dummy sometime, its pretty nice.
granted of course there are so many times in a raid its nice to have the sprint that i tend to hang onto it, but if u wana use it during a straight dps burn it can be a beautiful thing--like having ur very own speed pot with a cooldown ;) seems to stack with bf and snd as well--awesome to tap it at the same time as adrenaline rush, if ur combat spec--like i said, play with it at the dummy, gives one of our fave tools a little twist--but dont go on about it too much over trade channel or bliz will find some way to nerf it lols
So you are saying that sprint gives you melee haste? I'm calling BS on that one. It's not in the tooltips or the comments for the skills on Wowhead. I also hear when you pop evasion it gives you a Bloodlust that can stack with Heroism.

Personally Im hoping they dont just revamp racials, maybe they could make sprint an actually useful mobility mechanic instead of the once every 5 minutes add-fest it currently is.

"Yes" to answer the OP's question.
Sprint is very useful in PvP. Catching Frost Mages and Hunters, line of sighting, getting out of range to get a restealth in, running flag in WSG or catching enemy FC's, running flag and catching FC's in EotS, the list goes on and on. Basically a melee class, which needs to be next to an enemy for optimal damage, will find many uses for Sprint.
But as others have said, it's tough to pick Worgen now considering Cataclysm is on the distant horizon yet at this point. Just wait and see. An extra Sprint would be nice, but it isn't that useful to be gamebreaking in PvP. If you're considering rolling a Rogue for PvP, you can roll one now without feeling screwed by picking the wrong race and not waiting.
Speaking of picking the wrong race, racials change all the time. Even if Worgen get godlike racials come Cataclysm, who's to say they won't get nerfed in the future? Don't worry about planning so much what is 'best', but just enjoy the game right now in the present moment and have fun.
