With 3.1, Spellstone is better than firestone, basically. Assuming that when the changes go live, the "base" 1% damage to dots/direct damage will not be affected by master conjurer, spellstone will be better in ALL circumstances. Currently it is on the PTR, but I doubt that will go live..... I wouldnt complain if it did, but i doubt it.
Right now, its a bit more of a toss up. The math is around somewhere, but TBH I haven't seen it.
