Partly true...
Wouldn't you eat the liquidy part of the soup, but the eat the chunky bits (like vegetables, bread, etc.)?

A chewing motion is often involved with soup.
I say soup is generally eaten, until the good bits are gone
To mix up the a convo little, when does a STEW become a stew, and not a soup? I would guess viscosity, but still, the question is WHEN is it thick enough? or is there an ingredient that defines a stew.

The question is...
When a soup becomes too viscosious, like Haxzor said, does it become a chowder?
And if so, do you eat chowder and drink soup?

Depends on how it's served. Bowl + Spoon? Eaten. Cup? Drunk.
Like, when you're skiing on the mountains and finally reach the cabin, you get a steaming hot cup of tomato-soup, which you drink.

All I say is:
Soup owns.
So you regularly get owned when you eat/drink soup? Nice to know.

mudfish defied GoGoGodzilla?
On topic: No need for it to be in Recycle Bin, it's about soup.
