Seal of the Pure
or
Crusade
for end-game raiding?
I do know that
Crusade
were superior to
SotP
in Naxxramas, but how about Ulduar and ToC?
Due to login-servers issues I cant get in to check for myself, but at the moment im using
SotP
cause at the release of 3.2 I felt it gave more threat then
Crusade
.
If you happend to know the answer, please share.

If ret, get both, without question. If prot, I'd say crusade.

T8 2-set bonus coupled with the fact that that there are a heck of a lot of constructs in Ulduar, I personally think SotP is better there, but I have no mathematix to back me up.

The things I've been thinking about is similar to Hyperspacerebel
Crusade, hands down.
Instead of just saying "hands down", give us/me some proof. And by proof I mean maths.

I'd say pick whatever. Crusade is generally the better choice, and here is a rough version of the 'why' to it:
SotP provides a little more TPS (~50 I think) on non-HUDs (e.g. Beasts) than Crusade.
Crusade provides a lot more TPS (over 200 I think) on HUDs (which are still majority) than SotP.
HUD = Humanoid, Undead, Demon
So it depends on your preference. Here is a quick rundown of the HUD vs. non-HUD bosses in Naxxramas, Ulduar and Trial of the Crusader:
Naxxramas
: 14 HUD vs. 1 non-HUD (Maexxna)
Ulduar
: 0 HUD vs. 14 non-HUD*
*In the
Assembly of Iron
encounter, Runemaster Molgeim and Stormcaller Brundir are actually Humanoids. But Steelbreaker is a Giant, and he is the most dangerous one.
Trial of the Crusader
: 4 HUD vs. 1 non-HUD (Northrend Beasts)
So it depends on what you are raiding the most, and whether you have threat issues. For entry raid level (Naxxramas), or for end-game raiding (Trial of the Crusader), Crusade is likely better. For Ulduar, I'd take SotP.

And to combine ToC and Ulduar? ^^

But if we only count the 3% from Crusade, non-HUD in this case then.
SotP or 3% Crusade(+1% crit, from Conviction)?

crusade is better for prot, it increases all your damage avengers shield, consecration, hammer etc. and sotp is only increasing dmg of your seal

I dont like comments like this, sure it increase all damage. But does this damage make out more threat the SotP? Thats what this whole thread is about.
But I came to think about *miss*, considering a tank rarely even reaches the soft-cap for Hit Rating. If a Judgement would miss, the whole talent would be a waste for another 10/9/8 seconds. But with Crusade all the other attacks you would be able to use during these seconds. And increasing their damage by 3/6%.

Miss isnt as big a deal as dodge/parry, and we have that in the bag with our huge amounts of expertise. In the end, if youre not fighting a HUD mob, choose SotP, if yes Crusade.

This thread really didn't need to continue after what ArgentSun said.

For all out threat, comparing 5S+3V to 5V+3C you lose ~50 threat per second, like ArgentSun said. however, on mobs that Crusade has a bonus effect on, you gain ~200 threat per second.
Otherwise, assuming that you are taking vindication and pursuit of justice, you are left with 4 talent points for threat, which means that you have 4S or 1V+3C, which you only lose ~20 TPS but gain ~200 TPS on bonus mobs.
TL;DR
If you're raiding Ulduar and never doing anything else, take seals of the pure, if you ever do anything else where threat is an issue, take Crusade.

So basically, take PoJ and benediction.
