But I ran into an issue about halfway through a lot of the fights that I want to check on. The first 30-40 secs of fights was no problem, even with the retadin getting some aggro every time. but after that I had a really hard time keeping up on the damage. Now the rogue and mage pretty much never aggroed, so they didn't add to this, and I never got aggroed (until both tank and ret died). So I had 2 plate classes that I was having no issues healing suddenly start becoming difficult. I'm not sure if it was a slow accumulation of not healing to pure"full" while I bounced between them, or part of the mechanics of how the DK was pulling. Now I've never actually seen a DK tank so I'm not sure if this is standard, but what he did was grip one and simultaneously sic pet on another, and chains of ice on a third. That may have slowed the damage down early on, and increased it later but I'm not sure. The other thing, I'm relatively experienced tanking with an 80 tankadin, and as such I tend to just keep aggro on
everything
, only rarely do I need to pull aggro back, and I don't have any trouble doing that at all, and doing it quickly, but I do do it every time I see it.
O_O
Your DK tank was doing some oddball stuff.
Ghouls are not tanks. Chains of Ice is a poor choice to pull stuff.
Dont give up on disc healing just yet, run another dungeon or two, with different players. Dont let a fail DK bring ya down.

Alot of sound advice from beanee.
Im at the point where I think disc healing is easier, especially in 5mans... easier by far. I just cant stand holy. "trust your shields" words to live by. ;)
mmmm bubbles.
As far as recount goes, if you do stick with disc heals... you cant trust "the meters" to guage your effectiveness. Even the sorta half-assed modules that guess your absorbed dmg are kinda wonky at times. So dont pay attention to anybody QQing about your low HPS (heals-per-second) because it will be lower than say a pally. Once you get the hang of it though, you'll see how many people you prevent from dying that another healer couldnt stand a chance at duplicating.
pom, shield, penance, flash heal. <- insane burst healing/mitigation
