Siphon Life is an excellent glyph for levelling, but it does nothing for your DPS.

Indirectly it could be said to do a lot towards DPS. It seems to me that a dead lock has very little DPS. :)
I've discovered that if I'm not having to channel Drain Life then I'm free to do other (higher DPS) things. So is it possible that the glyph provides an indirect increase in DPS rather than a direct increase?
The post I was responding to was
this one
where Volsang comments that Siphon Life is one of the top glyphs for Affliction PvE/Raiding DPS.
It's not, the Siphon Life glyph does
nothing
for your DPS in instances.

Just went and got the Glyph of Curse of Agony and must say it is quite the killer glyph for levelling warlocks. It places two extra strong ticks at the end of the usual Curse of Agony. Ever dotted 5 enemies up, only to notice they still had about 10% HP left by the time your spells ran out? Then this glyph will ensure all of them die instead of requiring an additional spell. For end-game raiding this may not be something to worry about, but for a leveling warlock it is the best glyph I could find.
