imagine a scenario where the lich king suceeds ( sry for my english -.-) in wiping both alliance and horde because of their conflict.
would that lead him to conquer all northrend and then rest of azeroth?
how strong would he get by extinguishing almost all life in azeroth?
and would the major races flee to outland and try to seal the dark portal?
what do you say?

Naaru. Need i say more?
If the Naaru can wipe-out Arthas and the Scourge so easily, why don't they pop on over to Azeroth and do just that? It'd save a Hell of a time in Icecrown Citadel.

If he wins, we're %$@#ed.
Until C'thun, Yogg-Saron, Hastar, Yazatoth, and Shib-Nuggarith decide to wake up and kick his arse.

I didn't think we knew the names of the other Old Gods, Skree?

We don't officially.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were something similar, though, following after the previous naming style.

Haha, I'd keel over if it was like Spore where at the end you meet what's supposed to be God and his name's Steve.
C'Thun, Yogg-Saron, Hastar, Yazatoth and finally Eric.

Lol... :P
But yeah, those names I picked are based on Lovecraft's god. Dread Priest Cthulhu; Yog-Sothoth, the Gatekeeper; Azathoth the Blind Idiot God; Shub-Niggurath, the Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young; and The King in Yellow who's name I refuse to say.
And Eric the Omnipotent.

Well, I suspect that Hastur's clone would be next from some
scraps
that I fished up...
Not too sure about Azathoth, since we already have
Azaloth
, and the planet's name is Azeroth, so I'm pretty sure we've covered it enough.
Shub-Niggurath is a possibility, as well as He That Really Must Not Be Named, Y'<removed>...

Can I put my vote out there for Yun-Yuuzhan, Yun-Harla, and Yun-Shuno? Anybody with me on this one?

If the Lich King succeeded in his plans to take over all of Azeroth, I think it would be Ner'zhul's wish that this army went to Outland so he could get back his Draenor. Considering that unlike Arthas, Ner'zhul didn't lose his mind so he might still feel sentimentality or just a plain old grudge that someone else is now occupying his former homeworld.

I don't think he would go back to Outland..... or if he did it would be as a conqueror, he would do the same thing that the Lich King, which is both Arthas and Ner'zhul, is doing now; killing the Living and bringing them back as undead. There is no longer an orc within the mind of the Lich King, there is just the leader of the Scourge.

If the Lich King conquered Azeroth, I'd say that any horde or alliance remaining would have to flee to Outland, followed shortly by the destruction of the Dark Portal in order to escape the scourge.

Ner'zhul, from before he became the lich king, was the one who opened those portals between draenor and Azeroth so I believe he might be able to pull something like that off again. With all the necromancers in Outland he'd have little trouble finding the help to open up new portals.
And yeah I also figured he'd go as a conquerer. Although I was under the impression that the lich king had just about reached his "unit cap" and that's why he might be using, at least as theorized, the power of the captured Yogg-Saron to strengthen his power over the dead. Part of the reason why he'd built his citadel so close to the Ulduar prison.

Actually the orginal portal was opened by Gul'dan and Medivh, but yeah, Ner'zhul later opened the escape portals with the tome of Medivh and the Eye of Sargeras... I think. Of course when he opened those portals he ended up in Kil'jaeden's hands who slowly painfully and timelessly pulled his body apart, shredded his soul, then sealed the remenants into the Lich King armour.
Without more of the Artifacts they used the first time around, can't really see the Lich King able to open a new portal to Outlands. As for the Yogg-saron thing, yeah their using his "Blood"(aka the Saronite) to strenghten themselves, and the Lich King does see him as a joke as opposed to a threat.

Would that lead him to conquer all Northrend and then rest of Azeroth?
Probably, but he'd face pretty stiff opposition from the Dragonflights, the remaining Old Gods, the Naga, and the Goblins.
How strong would he get by extinguishing almost all life in azeroth?
Pretty strong, but he's going to eventually hit a limit, if only due to a lack of bodies. An army of weak units is strong, but without innovation, eventually he's going to encounter something that makes his numbers immaterial. Even zombified dragons and flesh giants are not insurmountable.
Would the major races flee to Outland and try to seal the dark portal?
Flee to Outland, yes. Seal the Dark Portal? Why? The Dark Portal is a bottleneck, and it would be better to defend that than try to keep a presence on the other side, at least for right after the retreat. Destroying the Dark Portal also means giving up on Azeroth, and I doubt that they would do that. They would, however, devise a way to destroy it in an emergency.

You know, other then the frozen Kirin Tor souls in Netherstorm, the souls of the Ancestor's in Nagrand, the fallen Auchenai in Terokkar, the dead Soldiers in Hellfire, and the shades of Gul'dan and the Shadow Council in Shadowmoon, you dont see many actual "undead" enemies in Outland, anyone else thinking maybe, just maybe, the necromancy magic of the Scourge doesn't work off of Azeroth?
And even then those undead in Outland are those who died in magic destruction, with the ancestor's of Nagrand trapped due to K'ure's slow death.
