YES, THIS MAKES EVERY SECOND OF PC USERS LOOKING DOWN THEIR NOSE AT ME AND SHOVING THEIR MODS IN MY FACE WORTH IT, FINALLY THE XBOX IS WORTH HAVING!
>_>
/angry-muttering in spanish.
But yea, thats rough dude...
Very. We PC users always get the shaft from the development companies. Ohh look, Jade Empire got released on the xbox. Well PC users gotta wait nearly a year to have it.
Mass Effect on the xbox, cool, PC users need to wait almost a year to have it.
Assassins Creed, Assassin's Creed 2, and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood released on the xbox? you don't say............. well, suck it up for 6 months as a PC user.
This is a never-ending tale >_>
YOU CAN'T EVEN MAKE GAMES WITHOUT PCs IN THE FIRST PLACE! Why can't WE go first and make the console crowd wait?
/more angry muttering in spanish.

Well if it makes you feel any better your version will probably be more polished and less buggy. Plus PC users get mods and addons and such that we consol users dont have. I always say, every system has its own advantages and disadvantges.

PC makers don't pay game publishers to hold back the console versions. ;)
so as usual, it boils down to money.

I plan on waiting until all of the mods are updated for it before playing anyway, so probably 2 months for me. I may even start over again :/

Holy crap, I just ran into
Jiub
in the Soul Cairn O.o
Damn Bethesda really liked giving their characters from previous games unfortunate ends dont they...
Speaking of the Soul Cairn btw this place is @#$%ing BANNANAS! Easily as cool, if not cooler than Sovngard. Kind of the flip side of that coin, Idk if we find out, but I kinda wonder what the Ideal Masters are? They sound vaguely Lovecraftian to me.

@Rank
List of Skyrim Mods- I don't have my computer this week, so this is from memory, and may be incomplete:
Apachii Sky Hair
- Best one in the game, for both men and women
CBBE (Caliente's something or other)
with the official face pack- much better face textures and graphics, and most armor mods are made to fit this rather than the vanilla form. However, the body is a nude model (or maybe they added one in underwear now- I haven't updated in a while), so all the females in the game will be naked when you loot the armor off of them. Your call- modesty or fashion. They have tattoo mods for this too, so you can pick from a wide variety if you want tattoos on a female toon (which will then also be on every female in the game- lol).
I also use mods for a much larger selection or eye and hair colors, but I forget the names. Should be easy to find by searching nexus. I also modded the beast races to be less scrawny- the argonians and the Kajit- because I thought they looked a little pathetic.
There are also mods for much better male faces/models, with the same caveat about modesty as the female one, but they're a lot less necessary for modded armor because most modded armor fits the vanilla models for males. I don't even know which one it is that I have, because I couldn't find one just by using the normal search function in nexus, and I got a link to it on a forum or in another mod description, or something like that.
For armor (for a female) I recommend the
Ritter armor
, with the
Royal Retexture
mod added after to make it the red version. The
Eisen armor
is nice too- they're craftable non-replacers which actually look like armor, and not like lingerie. I would also recommend downloading the
Black Sacrament or Black Tower
or whatever it's called- very nice mod which adds a new location, mercs, new armor styles and a vendor with goodies. Very nice armor models there, but again there's a small amount of totally avoidable adult content in that mod.
I would recommend
Faster Vanilla Horses, Unkillable Horses
and
Oblivious Horses
(not sure if the names are exact) if you plan on using a mount- I find horses tedious in this game, but it may be that the mounted combat they added with dawnguard will help.
Definitely get the
Universal Follower Overhaul
- lets you have more than one follower, lets you keep them fron re-eqipping starting gear that isn't as good, lets you level them so they don't get outdated as you level, lets you see their stats, etc.. And for some unique followers I liked
MOAR followers
, though only for like two of them. I have a few more I haven't tried yet, because I haven't run into them, so I'll let you know how they work.
I also get
Deus Mons
as a house mod- such a great house.
I use
Invested Magic
(or something like that- the Invested part is right) to make alteration spells and candlelight more usable for my dual-wielding character, since switching to a spell is bugged and won't let you quick switch back to two weapons. It makes them much more useful, without making them free.
I use
Cloaks of Skyrim
, some Earring Mod, a mod that lets you craft invisible versions of helmets, and a mod that lets you craft circlets with armor values.
I downloaded mods that fixes the bug in quest to rescue the Grey-mane's son- Torvald, or something- so that the option for the peaceful solution actually works. I downloaded a mod that lets you make a definitive choice in the Parthunaxx situation, rather than leave it hanging. I have a mod that lets you pass off a different Dibella statue, if you find one, instead of stealing the one in the temple.
Most of the ones I forget the names for you can just search the key terms in nexus for. I am sure I have more mods than this, but I can't think of many. They'd be mostly cosmetic, though.
EDIT: Also, if there is an NPC that you really, really, really, REALLY cannot do without as a follower, I do know a trick for you to get almost any NPC as a follower, but it's kind of convoluted and you'll have to e-mail me for it. I ran across the suggestion when I was looking for a mod to make Hadvar a follower (which almost no one seems to be able to code, despite the demand for it), and it's not a topic for wowhead- lol.

I don't have a problem with the female models being nude, if anything it adds realism to the game, rather, its a shame that the male models aren't nude. Its a little glaring that you strip a dead bandit of his loot and he has a loincloth as male, but nothing at all as female.
Besides, I already have this mod, on my old PC my skyrim had only 3 mods. CBBE, Dynasty Armor, and another one who's name I don't remember, but it added Warglaives (ya know, like the ones used by Illidan) to the game.
The vanilla bodies were terrible, both for male and for females, CBBE is a farcry from the regular ones. And since my kids don't play skyrim, nor do I have the habit of striping people naked (I craft my own gear, and make money in better ways than hauling off tons of loot) then the nude models aint an issue, as I said, they convey realism.

10-4
I want some armor mods because a lot of the armors in this game look very plain and dull. I don't mind skimpy outfits (come on, I love fanservice) but the model has to make some sense. I mean, I've seen some skimpy suits on TES that are little more than a strip of leather covering the very basic. While I like fanservice, it has to be within the borders of reason.
Example of an armor that is fanservice-ish yet awesome: The outfit worn by
Lahkesis
in God of War (really any armor worn in that game, for males or females, shows a lot of skin, and yet also look awesome)
Example of an armor that is fanservice and yet looks absolutely stupid:
Behold this abomination of the great Forsworn armor
That is just plain dumb, I don't mind armor looking sexy, showing off skin, revealing, or even a little risqué, as long as it looks like an actual armor, like its supposed to protect you even a little bit, or it looks like Ornamental armor, the sort that is worn as a decoration rather than battle. A collection of fur bikinis isn't armor. I can tolerate an armor that for example, leaves a breast exposed (Like Lahkesis' armor on God of War) as long as it actually looks like an armor. Ornamental, protecting at least some areas of the body, and of course having a kickass awesome design.
the vanilla Forsworn armor is the perfect example of that, on males and females. It shows off a lot LOT of skin, so as an actual armor its pretty pointless, but its highly ornamental and tribal in design, with the feathers, bags, and other accessories providing detail. On that abomination image I linked above, everything that made that armor cool (The details) was removed, and what was left in place was the tiniest sliver of leather covering the bare basics of the basics. To me, that's neither sexy, nor cool, nor practical, nor anything, its just plain dumb.
Check this one out
Modified Daedric armor
That thing is highly unpractical for combat (come on, it leaves the entire frontal chest exposed) but THAT DESIGN IS BADASS, its awesome as an ornamental armor, and I could totally see a priestess of a Daedric cult using this thing. There has to be a striking balance between fanservice, detail, ornaments, and practicality in an armor. Very few people manage to do that =(
I would recommend Faster Vanilla Horses, Unkillable Horses and Oblivious Horses (not sure if the names are exact) if you plan on using a mount- I find horses tedious in this game, but it may be that the mounted combat they added with dawnguard will help.
Dawnguard made that mod redundant for 2 reasons.
First, it has mounted combat, you can now shoot arrows, or swing a weapon at either side from a horse, making dismounting in combat unnecesary (plus shooting from horseback looks awesome as frick) and as for the horses getting killed, also redundant since you get a new spell if you complete a sidequest, it gives you an undead horse you can summon at any time and any place, just summon it, ride it, and when you dismount he is dismissed so it wont take up a summoning spot.
If it gets killed, just summon him again, the spell has no cooldown and costs very little magicka.
I downloaded mods that fixes the bug in quest to rescue the Grey-mane's son- Torvald, or something- so that the option for the peaceful solution actually works.
pfft, peaceful, I kill all the thalmor scum that crosses my path, and any imperial boot licker that sucks it up to them too.
I'd appreciate the one for parthunaxx. You can bypass having to kill him with a console command (that allows you to advance the quest to the stage where you killed him without actually killing him, this way everyone is happy, and in-game I just roleplay that I'm lying to Esbern and Delphine to protect good ol' Parth) but having a mod do that automatically is better.
When you get back to your PC, lemme know their names, I've been searching the Nexus, but just like when looking at Fanfiction.net, THERE IS SO MUCH GARBAGE among the gems =S
its like for every good mod/fic there is no less than 50 ones that are pure trash.
. They'd be mostly cosmetic, though.
hey, I don't mind cosmetic stuff, I like cosmetic stuff. Skyrim (And any elder scroll game for that matter) Runs entirely on "Rule of Cool", its the reason I actually like that daedra armor I linked back (Despite its highly unpractical status) so cosmetic stuff is good.

@Rank- if you WANT nude male bodies, for realism, then they do make mods for that. They come with better faces too. I just can't remember the name of any right now, but I know I went looking for better male face textures so they didn't all look like 50-year-old meth-addicts, and I found one.
I downloaded the Dynasty armor- I remembered once you said it- but haven't made any. I'll be using the version with chain so it's actual armor and not a bikini, but not sure if I will like it better.
I expect to be back by my computer this weekend sometime- might not be until Sunday night- but I'll let you know and we can hop in vent and compare mods.

Yeah, it just looks more realistic that way. Like if you are a werewolf, you turn into a giant beast, when you revert back, naturally your clothes are gone, they were ripped when you transformed, but for some reason if male, you have a magical loincloth that never rips? that's just not realistic.
Equality for both genders =D if there's nude women, let there be nude men to even out the field.

Lol xD, yeah, while I love bethesda games, I've yet to play one that has actual good looking faces. On every single one of them, the faces always have to look strange. Fallout 3 and New Vegas are the closest one that has passable faces.

Don't use the vanilla version, its a little dull. There's like a billion and one variants of it on the nexus, including a Crimson one that adds ornamental engravings on it. Looks really cool.

Neat. We'll have to use the vent chat though, because my mic is busted, I need to get another one.

i myself am very partial to the ...erm *checks memory* .. UNPBBBP..skin myself.
The new mods coming out using dawnguards new systems has me peeing my points. I havent been this happy since the official creation kit came out for us.
People are creating some SERIOUSLY good mods.

People are creating some SERIOUSLY good mods.
Hence why I strongly believe PC games are superior to console games. There's some very talented people out there, who know how to make AWESOME content to enhance the already good experience on a game (or turn a crappy game into a flawless gem).
of course, Sturgeon's law applies into this. For every good mod, there's no less than 9 ones that are HORRIBLE.

Yeah- there are a lot of really bad mods out there.
@Rank - Speaking of New Vegas, I think that's the name of the mod you're looking for, actually- something or other New Vegas Male. But I won't swear by it. BTW- any googling of these mods will result in NSFW pictures, people.

K, thanks El, BTW out of curiosity, why don't you have access to your PC? on a vacation?
And what did you thought of that Daedra Armor I linked? (not the blue one). Its one of the very few ultra-skimpy armors that I simply adore. Despite its extreme impracticality, it just looks so damned good (Specially the back, it looks more like a dragon-armor than the actual dragonbone/scale armors do)
Ohh and this was the console command I told you about:
setstage MQPaarthurnax 100
You type that down on the console when the blades ask you to kill Paarth, and presto, the blades will "think" you killed him, yet he'll still be alive, the greybeards will still be hospitable, and at the end of the main-quest he still gives his awesome outro.

@Rank- BF is out of state for the week, and he took the laptop. I have access to his computer, but not my Skyrim game :(
I hate that daedric model- sorry. So much of the modded armor in Skyrim looks like they just cut pieces out, but didn't try and redesign the rest of it to flow evenly. What you end up with is alternating patches of bare skin and large chunky armor that doesn't look right attached to nothing. If they had added a little more chestplate, and taken that large hump off the back, I'd have been ok with it, but I think that one looks horrible.
I find
this
to be a much better Daedric re-skin.

Up to here, I agree, a lot of armor is just
and taken that large hump off the back
o_O but that's exactly one of the reasons why I love it, it makes the armor looks very dragonic in nature (even more so than the actual Dragon armor in the game)
I'll admit the one you linked looks nice, but since they're mutually exclusive, I can't have both, so I'll keep the one I linked :P
If anything, an improvement I'd add to it if I knew how, would be to add a chest-piece, preferably one that looks as dragonic as the back. The skirt looks nice enough and its enough of a balance between show and protect, so I like it. The rest of the pieces look fine as they are, I think the shoulders mesh quite well with the dragon-like texture of the "lump" in the back.
And yes, I know I like to pay too much attention to my armors, I'm like that =S you should see just how much time I've spent creating transmog sets on wow, I got like 11.

BTW Rank- you might want to remove those links of that chick with the armor only on one side of her chest. I think it's one thing to discuss where to see armor that is adult themed, and quite another to link a screenshot. It might get you modded.
