In my country, selling videogames is illegalWhere do you live? Iran?
Edit: Actually, I think I remember you saying Venezuela. Why no games?
Chavez worried about you thinking for yourself?
more or less :P
the BS excuse he gave was that war-related games (Specially those made in the US) "brainwash our children with capitalist propaganda by the Yankee empire, converting them to their twisted religion and injecting them with their violence and filth" (These arent my words, these are his, on a public speech on national television as he ordered all war-related games banned from the country)
needless to say all he's done is alienate every single kid and teenager from EVER supporting him (as well as several old geezers like me).

My account has been dropped for awhile and I thought about re-subbing... and then I remembered Skyrim is around the corner and so I've been killing my free time playing DCUO online. It's free now and it's actually pretty fun.

You know I am suprised at all the anti Oblivion sentiment here. I mean yes Morrowind was a lot better in terms of enviorment, story, and general feel. But Oblivion had a far superior combat system, a quest tracker, characters who actualy spoke, and Sean Bean. A lot of people I think look back at morrowind with pink tinted glasses.
You remember running around Solstheium as a wherewolf and purple dudes calling you outlander. But you dont remember having to jot down directions to your quest objectives because there was no quest tracker (those of us who didnt use mods) or an NPC you have to escourt getting stuck on a rock, or Cliff Racers decending from on high every step you took. And dont even get me started on what it was like trying to level a new weapon skill and having it miss 9 out of every 10 swings...

I'm well aware of the many many many flaws of oblivion, and yet you wanna know the mark of a true masterpiece game?
that even if it has a billion flaws, it still manages to be enjoyable.
Oblivion has the following flaws for me:
A: Character models look like crap, there's only like 2 models in the whole game that look semi-decent (Martin and Uriel). Plus the orcs dont look like orcs much, they are just humans with green skin, orcs are supposed to be either fatter or with bigger muscles, not have the EXACT same body as frikking ELVES from crying out loud.
B: Voices. As much as I love the smooth silky voice of Patrick Steward, he is a BIG name actor, and it feels like a waste that pretty much all of the voice-actor budget had to be spent on this guy....... only for him to speak like 8 lines of dialog in the entire game, since he dies 30 minutes after starting...... :S
this game has about 1000 NPCs, and they are voiced by 8 actors.... :S now if the actors were decent, that wouldn't be much of a problem, just have them fake multiple voices....... err no, that didn't happened either, orcs and nords sound EXACTLY the same (its the same actor BTW) elves, wood elves, and dark elves sound exactly the same.......... and so on.
The only good actor that really earned his pay on that game was the actor for the male imperials, now that guy is GOOOD, he voiced all the male imperials, the announcer of the arena, all the dremora, and sheogorath, and it shows just how good he is. His performance as Lucien is one of the reasons he's the one character with the biggest amoutn of fans on the game.
C: Clunky combat system. Its like trying to beat half-life with just the crowbar, the combat system is really broken, and unless you cheat or play at the easiest difficulty setting, facing more than 2 foes at the same time means suicide. Since enemies level with you, and upgrade their gear faster than you, leveling up makes the game harder instead of easier, rather than feeling stronger on each level up you feel weaker, and the main campaign is actually unbeatable if you do the "Defense for Bruma" quest while above lvl 30 (Unless you cheat of course)
D: horrible leveling system, in every aspect one thing can be horrible.
E: Wonky physics that make decorating your house manually completely impossible, go ahead and try to put more than 1 book on that shelf, I'll wait.
and yet, despite all of these MANY flaws (I forgot to mention that the main campagin was kinda generic, not bad, but not impressive either) its one of my favorite games of all times.
Its funny when the side-quests are more fun than the main campaign, but then the elder scrolls saga has always put more emphasis on side-quests than main-quest anyways.
On particular the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild quests, as well as the Knights of the Nine and Shivering Islands campaings ARE impressive, and stand out as VASTLY superior than the main one.
What has always been the selling point of an elder scroll game? Living breathing world, that is yours alone to explore and adventure like there's no tomorrow.
Its a shame that with each generation they seem to get smaller (Cyrodill on Oblivion is 16 square miles, While the world in Daggerfall is
TWICE THE SIZE OF GREAT BRITAIN
) but hey, just as they get smaller, they get more beautiful and full of even more detail, so the cost for size is worth it.

I loved the Dark Brotherhood and Mages Guild quests from Oblivion. But my favorite quest in the game was probably that one A Shadow Over Hackdirt. HP Lovecraft reference was so win, I think they had one in Morrowind too, you could find a giant Mudfish named uhullu or something.
I also get why people are bashing Oblivions combat system, but it was still better than what we had in Morrowind...
All in all I do think Morrowind was the superior game, but Oblivion did have some parts that were better than Morrowind as well. Remember it was the first rpg out for the 360, PS3, Wii generation, it was bound to have a few flaws.
One think I hope they fixed for Skyrim that was $%^&ed up in Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, and even New Vegas, is that they need to add diagonal walking motion. That was fun in the last fallout, watching the tough gritty cowboy I created moonwalk across the desert...

I think Skyrim runs on a new engine (finally). I hope it is not just a rumor. Yeah, moonwalking when moving diagonally is one of the reasons why the games were unplayable in 3rd person.

Patrick Steward, he is a BIG name actor
Funny that I've never heard of him, if he is such a big name actor. Who is this Patrick Steward you speak of?
Edit:
Although, I did find him on IMDB
. It doesn't list him as in Oblivion. You should contact IMDB and report this error.

Woops, little typo there, I meant Patrick Stewart xD honest mistake I swear.
Just in case you don't know who this awesome actor is, he's best known as Professor Charles Xavier (also as Professor X, and "Wheels") on the X-men movie, and also as Captain Jean Luc Picard on Star Trek The next generation (Which provided with the most epic
facepalm
ever).
A Shakespearean classic actor, Knighted in 2010, and owner of the most impressive "Bald of awesomeness" EVER.
While I admire his work as an actor, sadly he's a big expensive actor, and its likely that him being in oblivion (as Emperor Uriel Septim) is what ate up all the voice-actor budget and likely why they had to employ 7 actors to voice over 1000 NPCs.
