Has anyone else been surprised by how the bards in the inns actually sing pretty good?
And rankkorr, I must say I do not really identify with your grindy playstyle o_O

I just began Skyrim last night- as in made a character, and did a few minutes of the tutorial. Will hopefully actually play tonight. Already made BF download a no encumbrance mod for me, because this is me:

Lol. I hate encumbrance, period. (In NWN2 it was my *!@#ing bane. Stupid leather armor)

I don't mind having to do inventory management in a games where there are very specific items you pick up, and everything else is just background. But these games where there are 14 million items, and you never actually know what you're going to need...

The correct answer is all of it.
I was leveling my alchemy off plant I picked up over the course of a few hours of wandering and other quests. I hit encumbrance before I was halfway through, and I had a good 200 weight margin before I started.

Yeah, I've actually found myself stopping to listen to their songs - particularly "The Children of Skyrim".

'Bout to kill my first non-story dragon :D
Woot woot! With the aid of a giant (The only reason the dragon seemed to want to get close to land) I killed it! I also managed to kill the weakened giant! :)

lol you dont need a mod for that if you are a PC user, just open the console and type "Player.Modav carryweight 1000" and voila, you can now carry 1000 pounds (or whatever number you want)
Has anyone else been surprised by how the bards in the inns actually sing pretty good?
not all of them do, the one in riverwood sings like crap, and the dark brotherhood sends you on a random assassination to kill an orc bard, infamous as the WORST BARD EVER. So many people wanted him dead, Astrid had to hold a lottery to determine who would be the client.
the one in solitude is by far the best one, and some of the bards wandering the forest are good.
its what I like in this game, some people are good singers, others arent.

I'm a wow player, leveled over 8 alts, and before being a wow player I was a Lineage II player, (that's a korean MMO, they make the grinding in wow feel like child's play). So grinding is almost second nature to me.

This game is almost... too deep... if that makes sense.
I was on my way to complete a quest, and I got side tracked and started another quest. I got a bit stumped on that, but was at the beginning of quest number 4. While on my way, this blacksmith asked me to help him find his dog, who was supposedly only a few feet away. 3 hours, 2 dungeons, a daedric prince, a few epic weapons, and countless vampires later, I completed the quest the blacksmith started.

? It's a dwemer ruin where one really minor assignment sends you, just to get some lost weapon. I just entered the lower floor and am like :OOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Largest underground area I saw so far.

that rite there describes this game in full.
Also, wow, mages specialized in conjuration can be TRULY evil :P
use Raise Flesh on a dead bandit and you bring him back to life as an undead. He still looks like his former self, no rotten flesh or anything, but behaves like a zombie, and worst of all, they are painfully aware of their condition the whole time.
From making the typical zombie sounds of "uuuhnnn" "oohhh" to saying stuff like "kill" "must....... obey" "die......." when attacking, to saying stuff like "free......... at last...." or "Thank you......" to "I am........ released" when killed. Worst of all, if your recently reanimated slave has been killed and you resurrect him again, they say stuff like "when will I be free?" to "release me" to "my pain will end?".
That's not even taking in consideration that the Rise Flesh spell can be used on anything, from common bandits, to wolves, bears, giants, and such, making them your obedient slaves in undeath.
That plus the fact that you can capture the souls of your enemies in soul gems, and THEY ARE AWARE THE WHOLE TIME but unable to do anything but observe as you use their soul to empower some artifact, a process that not only makes them "deader than dead" but also permanently denies them entrance to the afterlife, and dooms them to wander the planes of oblivion for the entertainment of whatever Daedra or Dremora are in place.
yep........ Conjuration mages can be pretty sadistic monsters if the player so chooses, since you could ignore the necromancy and just focus on the bound weapons and summoning of atronarchs.

meh, cant be larger than an underground area for a quest of the main campaign.
On it you gotta recover an elder scroll from a dweemer ruin, and once you go to the lower levels, that place looks like Deepholm, its like an entire sub-civilization lives down there.

Gonna finish the main quest and Theives Guild first. Not sure if Im gonna do the fighters guild on this toon or roll a battlemage type of character and do the fighters guild on them as well as the mages guild. But I also wanna do a pure magic class. And I also wanna become a werewolf and go on a massive killing spree and wipe out an entire city, THERES SO MUCH @#$% I WANNA DO AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Also indeed I also like the bard songs, I actualy caught myself humming Ragnar the Red the other day at work.
