Ok so I finished all of the dark brotherhood's campaign, and I gotta say, I'm very much impressed, I'll post a full review/resume of it later, but for now I gotta say save for 1 detail I loved it.
Didn't liked that just like the Dark Brotherhood version in Oblivion, this one has a traitor, and eventually almost everyone in the sanctuary dies. Its not that its a bad narrative, more like a repeat of the events on oblivion that annoys me a little bit. This one has a more happier ending though, considering you get a new sanctuary, and fresh recruits, and most importantly, a return to the old ways of the brotherhood.
Have I mentioned that I <3 Babette? =D wish I could bring her along as a party squad. Nothing like a 10 year old vampire assassin wee little girl kicking ass to know stuff just got real.

What's up with the save menu? Diablo 2 has a save menu organized by charachter, but Skyrim has just a list of saved games that are easily saved over and unable to be organized? This is computer game creation 101. Such an amateur mistake is disheartening.

hence another reason why the PC version is better :P You can use this console command "Save " (just type whatever you want without the brackets, like "Save dragon") and presto, named save-files that are much better to tell from each other.
And just so we're clear, there's plenty of good games out there that have this same save problem, like mass effect (save-files can't be named, all you got for identifiying them is the name of the location where you saved and the time played) Oblivion, Fallout 3 (and new vegas) and a rather large ECT.
Games really should allow players to name their save-files by default, it makes overwriting important saves by mistake that much harder.

Anybody do the Prison break quest yet? (its not an actual prison break reference but thats what Im gonna call it)

Skithus
Yeah but at least mass effect separated the saves by character.
Elhonna hates how I play RPG's however, I only ever have 1 save at a time. If something bad happens and I don't like the outcome, Oh well, guess I'll just have to deal with the consequences, just like my character would actually have to do. I don't try to Meta my RPG's.
So The only problem I had with Skyrim's save system was differentiating my different characters, thanks for the heads up on the console command.

Really? They did it (again)?

Is there a way to play skyrim without going through Steam? Steam is crap and doesn't always work. Plus I need an internet connection to boot Skyrim through it. What if I cancel my internet subscription, or my internet goes out for a few days? I'd hate to lose a game that is played offline. The box says you need an internet connection to register it. Any suggestions?

You haven't needed an internet connection to boot steam games for years.

I've actually noticed they removed the "you need an internet connection to open/continue playing Steam games" requirement.
But you still need to OPEN Steam itself, which does require an internet connection, which thus is needed to play said games.
I guess there is
Offline Mode
though.

Wow, good tip.
I'm creating an Alchemy Helper. It's a simple little PHP script that lets you pick an item or effect, then it will show you all the other items you can use to make potions and poison with it. At first, it will really only help you discover what goes with what, but I might expand it into an actually useful tool after your character already knows all the effects.

That's exactly it. Start steam in offline mode and play any single player game you want.

meh, who cares about achievements? I've lived well enough before them, I can live well enough without them. (My pirated version has no steam-conection and thus no achievements but meh, who cares about those?)
