Thx for all the replies. Now I don't feel so bad.
Funny thing is he wasn't even the leader of the group at first. After our conversation, he asked for the group leader to pass lead him for a second. As soon as he got lead, he kicked me.
Oh well, chalk it up to PuG's I guess.
Thx all,
Crooklyn

The high stamina offers no boost to hunter dps, and you'd be better off with something like

I had to think about that difference for a while when I had both and was doing heroics. On the one hand, Staff offers a full 100 AP difference (on me at the time) while the Runeblade was 1% higher crit. I'm not sure how dependent on the specific character that would be.

Unless loot rules are specified beforehand any player can need or greed as (s)he wishes. Many people seem to think that there is an unwritten code for looting. Considering the differences of opinion I've seen on this forum alone not only about what that code is or the application of this code, I am of the opinion that said code does not exist.

I guess I'm going to go against the grain here and say that any hunter should pass this to a druid that needs it. Having both a hunter and a feral druid myself, I've passed that staff to a lot of druids and also lost the roll a couple times to a hunter.

. (Max DPS says both of these offer a higher dps increase than Staff of Trickery.) Thats not to say that if it drops and what you are using is worse you shouldn't roll on it, but IMO
a feral tank gets better use out of this than a hunter.
I agree, especially the bolded part. How would you feel if a warrior or rogue outrolled you for
Drake-Mounted Crossbow
? Melee weapons for us are simply stat sticks. A druid gets a bigger DPS/TPS increase from it than us.
Ironic that a few people in this thread call the druid 'greedy' or 'not willing to share'. In my guild, it's pretty much an unspoken and obvious rule that melee get priority on melee weapons, and hunters get priority on ranged weapons. In a PuG, it's down to courtesy whether you pass or need.
I'm not defending the druid from kicking you, I'm just a bit shocked that so many hunters would roll on this against a druid.
Flame away!
PS for the love of all that's unholy, don't use Max DPS.
