You sort of suck I pull better then that DPS specced holy and using smite / holy fire / sw:p etc 1.8k dps is terribad
I don't think you can pull that kind of dps in any healing spec over an entire heroic. If you could there would be no reason to change to shadow for dps. You could just do it all with one spec. With my old healing spec I pulled 2K+ dps once but only because the tank gathered 10-15 mobs and I used Mind Sear. On a single target or a small group I don´t see it happening.

I checked myself out on the boss target dummy and I was doing 1900 when slacking and around 2400 when I managed to get the spell rotations/recasts just right.
Still, I will probably remain a healer for the long haul anyways.

I've been doing a bit of testing as of late with my shadow spec. I got
these
out of my latest Ulduar run, and also got myself hitcapped for raids (No dps wanted them, i was all wtffff, i'll take em! They're better than my t7 heal robes!). I haven't managed to touch a raid yet, but i was pulling a steady 2.4k dps on the dummy. Makes me wonder what i could do on a raid boss.
I do around 2.5K dps on heroic bosses, give or take some due to movement, interupts, etc. It's all about getting that rotation down.
