Hey there,
i have a lvl 62 priest allready but i don't like the way she looks and i just lost fun/motivation to play my female UD priest any longer. I allways was a pvp-dude, didn't even go into instances much even tho everyone said i should go, gear n' stuff. Now i have an urge for PvEing and i want to play a Shadow Priest.
I started leveling an new one and everythings fine, i planned out to make the frozen shadowweave set in combo with the Spellstrike set and some heroic badge stuff to gear up for pre-raiding equip but that's not exactly my point, i wanted to ask if the 24 more spelldamage on the rings are worth picking up enchanting, i mean i allready have enchanting on my other priest and i also have it on my mage, it's expensive to level and i'm not sure if i want to pay that shit again for 24 Spelldamage.
OFC i wanna be as good equipped as i can but ... that would be my third char with Tailoring+Enchanting.
So is it worth it?

the ring enchants are not the reason to take up enchanting. it's just a nice benefit of being an enchanter.
the 24 spell damage is not that significant. i give up 24 damage by choosing budget gems over the rare ones. i've still got 1000+ spell dmg and do very well for my raids.
if 24 spell dmg is a concern, use wizard oil & shadow power pots

Enchanting definatly has some nice side-effects, you can make lots of money with it but its also expensive to level up.
I'll think i could take herbalism then, so i can farm the stuff for the wizard oil and the pots, do have a alchemy buddy, and also make some money.
Thanks so far.

I personally like being self sufficient. Yes, being able to enchant my rings is a bonus, but so is not having to rely on others prices/mats to get all your gear done. Profit is only made on the top-end and rare enchants in my experience, so money is not a motivator.
I have other toons to make me potions/gather so having enchanting on my main is the most benefical profession so I can "be all I can be" :)
