Hm, I think my best moment was realising we were on for a full Naxx clear not long after we'd started raiding as a guild. A few of us had pugged it a couple of times, or gone with non-guild friends, but none of us had done it all until we started running it together. I remember we knew we could nail the Arachnid quarter (of course), so we went for the
Arachnophobia achievement. We got it with a minute to spare :D
Completely by accident we got
Momma Said Knock You Out on the way (noobish positioning, tbh) and decided to try and keep up the pace a little bit to try for 3 quarters, which would have been a new one-session record for us. We got
Make Quick Werk of Him and
The Hundred Club as well that night (that was an accident as well. Guess who forgot their frost res totem >.>) and cleared the whole thing in a single run. That was a great night for a bunch of newbie raiders :)
Worst moment...probably my first ever tanking experience. I was asked to tank (normal) Shadow Labs back in BC on my feral druid. *I* thought I had a proper tank spec. I didn't really, but as I was a couple of levels higher than the instance it would have been ok if I'd known what I was doing. I didn't :(
We were in there for about 3 hours, going from my confidently pulling groups in the beginning, to me agonising over every single pull and desperately trying to understand, remember and use every CC ability my group had at its disposal (druid healer, ret pally, hunter, and mage, so plenty of CC). I didn't really understand aggro (I'd grouped for group quests, not instances as I was levelling), didn't know the instance, didn't understand mob abilities so didn't automatically know kill priorities... Ugh, it was a nightmare and traumatised me so badly I didn't tank again until about 2 months into Wrath :/
