Why macro or use an addon at all?

Because mashing 1 button requires no additional thought and lets you focus on other things. Maybe try reading the thread, where I already said that?

Is reading hard for you? Or is it the connecting meanings to words thing?
Im sorry, there is no spiritual meaning why I separate consecration from my 969 macro except it it simply allows more control in movement or mana starved fights.
Do I need to define 'agile' for you?

Yeah I love that explanation. It really helped me grasp the pattern in a solid way.

Understanding the rotation, and how it works, with the ability to adjust on the fly > mashing 1 button requires no additional thought.
I did both on a regular basis. I kept the macro on my bar and swapped it onto an easy hotkey whenever I was in a fight that required little threat gen and more paying attention to surroundings or raid members (because I was leading). But then I would do it manually with substitutions for maximum threat output on burn phases/fights
