a while back i used the serious help in timing addon to help me get into the new ret rotation using crusader strike with a shortened cooldown.
was just wondering is there an addon to help me do the same for tanking, to get the 969 rotation really stuck into my head? been a long time since iv tanked and forgot how and i want to start tanking again now iv reached the highest gear level for dps i can get in my situation (no guild, pugs fail for toc25 on my server) and want to gear up my tank set some more.
any ideas or suggestions?

I've never personally tried this one out, but according to the description, it has a rudimentary 969 rotation advisor.

This S H I T is not needed for prot because the rotation doesnt change like ret does. Its an actual rotation. You need to goto a test dummy and spend 5 min doing it, rather than spending 5 min finding, downloading, installing, and using a addon.

Q - ShR
E - HotR
1 - Judgement of Light
2 - Consecration
3 - Holy Shield
The rhythm comes pretty naturally with a little practice.
Here's mine:
MU = Mouse up
mu - HotR
mu - Judgement of Light
mu - Consecration
mu - Holy Shield
mu - etc

Like I said. 969 is a actual rotation. Of course it will be different.

Honestly for almost every situation you can just castsequence it and smash 1 button.
I've tanked Algalon with 1 button. Well, three if you count taunt and Bubblewall.

yeh but i was thinking the 969 part would suck because its originaly a ret add on, and it even says on the addon in game that the prot part hasnt been tested for the new patch and wont be :P

Forget about ret. youre not ret. why are you talking about ret.

clcret's prot module works fine from what I've seen.
I have it for when I'm ret and I'm usually too lazy to turn it off when I'm tanking. I've never stared at it to be 100% sure, but it seems to match my actual rotation in casual watching.

I use 2 macros.
1 is for all the 9's
the other is for the 6's.
I keep all the individual spells on my bar as well.
i just hit 2,3,2,3,2,3,2,3 while tabbing through the mobs.
Setup healbot for 1 button taunts, and tracking aggro.
ez-mode tanking.

Just use 1 macro, IMO.
Either you're in a situation (almost always) where you just want to 969, in which case a single castsequence works fine -- or you're in a situation where you need to get some adds/pickup something/otherwise be occupied, in which case you want the single skills.
Two macros doesn't really add any value and just makes you hit an extra button.

And we have a winner!
" just makes you hit an extra button"
Hey, sometimes i get bored...
Yes, you only need 1 macro... i just like thinkg 9 6 9 6 9 6 as i hit 2 diff buttons....
stupid... yes...
but it works. haha

Well you could always manually 969 when bored, and single button when not bored. =p
I just prefer it because it lets you use
all
of your time to watch other things. It literally requires 0 thought so you can monitor the raid, call upcoming abilities, and just generally be more aware.

Personally, even at endgame, you need one macro for 969. One macro and consecration separated.
I have consecration bound to alt+1. Mainly because that how its been for 4 years, but generaly because that's the agile way to do things.

Why would you need Consecrate separate? Either you're 969ing, or you're not.
