This post is on a thin line. Skipping bosses because you can simply not aggro the boss is one thing. Exploiting the encounter / instance is something totally different. Please make sure you keep this thread out of the exploit territory.

Several dungeons have more than 1 entrance.
Gnomeregan: If you have

you can all but skip to the end of it.
Uldaman: Backdoor is in Dustwind Gulch (central east Badlands) brings you into the instance relativily close to the enchanting trainer
Stratholme: Has a Service Entrance that you can access with

I thought it was all working as intended?
Exploiting the environment to completely avoid content has never been labelled as an intended nor acceptable use of game mechanics. Though you're not likely to be caught for it, unless you're trying it on raid content.

Yeah, be careful on the advice to take/give here. Some things can land you in hot water with Blizz if you're not careful.
There used to be a way to wallhack up Nightbane's Terrace in Karazhan and reappear in Prince's room, skipping about 2-3 hours of clearing trash/bosses, and until it got fixed
many
accounts were suspended or banned. I'm talking whole guilds ripped out of the game.
Just a warning.

I still think that is stupid to ban people for finding a shortcut. If you find a way to do something faster you shouldn't be punished. You skip 3 pulls by jumping of the edge in SP. It is the same as figuring out that you can be uncrushable when you use 2 trinkets.
I think if it is in the game you might as well use it and they should just fix their mistake and don't take it out on the players. What if someone didn't know something was an exploit and did it without knowing it was? That would be stupid to ban him.

You're right. You shouldn't be banned for finding a way to do something faster. I've learned from experience that using Mana Tap on certain voidwalkers right off the bat keeps them from minimizing damage from my holy spells. However, that same logic does not apply to doing something that is obviously against the way that the game is intended to be played.

Well.. no, not really. One is
intended
by Blizzard. If trinkets like Moroes' Pocket Watch and Dabiri's Enigma were suddenly broken one day, Blizzard would fix it. But if all of a sudden pulls in Slave Pens couldn't be skipped, I highly doubt it would be on Blizzard's to-do list.

And most times, they do. However, GMs see a lot more than what you think they do. It is Blizzard policy to warn or temporarily suspend (three hour ban) someone who is exploiting. This eliminaties the benefit of the doubt. But someone who continues to do it after being warned because "blizzard should fix it" will be banned.

See above. They more than likely wouldn't be banned the first go-round.
