We don't have enough GCDs to begin with, and you want us to sealweave again? No thanks!

The old seal system was the reason I rolled pally in the first place, and i do miss it. It reminded me of my cleric in Icewind Dale who got all her damage from buffing herself before and during the battle and debuffing the enemies at the same time.
But needless to say, Blizzard's moved on a lot since then, and I don't think that old model fits into the grand scheme of things anymore. Rather than make players make decisions in the heat of battle, it seems that Blizzard is leaning towards making us choose our strat at the beginning of the fight and stick to it, perhaps changing things up the next fight.

I agree with Hyperspacerebel - that was one of the things that I actually enjoyed about playing Paladin in the old days. I'm not 100% sure why it was changed, to this day.
I think in part, it's because Judgement has become a 'use for damage each cooldown' ability. Having multiple seals with different effects meant that if you wanted to judge for damage, you would *need* to run with SoR, SoV or SoC. You couldn't sit on Seal of Light and judge Wisdom and still do damage.
There was that halfway point where judging didn't consume the seal. That, in effect, would result in not needing to worry too much about your GCDs - you'd only need to worry if you chose to seal weave. But having said that, from Blizz's point of view, it's harder to balance, since there are more potential combinations of seal/judgement effects, and for each fight, you would inevitably be forced to use the same opening/refresh combination. So no big deal?
I do miss Seal of the Crusader though...

Yes, Seals became an aura basically, and I do miss seal-weaving.
However, now I can really auto-attack afk :)

You should have played a hunter in MC.

I have no pity for any class but the paladin back in those days.
40 people.
5 min single target buffs.
Retarded as hell! Make all self buffs perminate and through death unless there is a balance reason to limit them. Zero reason to have a timer on any of our seals. Zero reason to have a timer on any of our buff we cast on ourselves. Maybe I just need to not die in AB anymore. :D

Well, surely, there has to be a reason why our blessings are 10 mins, whereas PW:F and GotW are 30 mins. I mean, it's inconsistent even *within* druids - GotW is 30 mins, and Thorns is 10?
Other than Blizzard's laziness, I mean. Maybe offensive buffs are considered too powerful to need to be refreshed
more frequently than every 10 minutes
, relative to defensive buffs?
Because, you know, that 0.25% of the time we need to spend re-buffing ourselves is really important, and will suddenly make things more balanced between priests and druids and paladins.
</rant>
So, all things considered, spare a thought for the warriors, who can't pre-buff, and whose untalented buff lasts a whole 2 minutes.

No class should have to rebuff like that, its annoying and there is no balance issue. All buffs you get at the start that are 2 min and over should be on you through the whole time. No one likes to rebuff, its not fun, and fun is what this game should be.
It makes a huge difference in pvp, where instead of mounting immediately, you have to mount 3 seconds later, while a class without this issue (or that just haven't seen the face of death) is take'n muh flag.

The old system didn't use any more GDCs then the current. Are you telling me you're not Judging every time the cooldown is up?
No, he's saying that to recast a seal will use a GCD that would otherwise be dedicated to FCFS.
