Not a new idea, I know, but I want to hear people's opinions on it. The idea is to use Scorch as your damage dealer instead of Fireball, and opening with Pyroblast. Scorch has a greater chance to crit from talents and proc Ignite and Master of Elements, and it will also give the vulnerability to fire debuff. You also can take Impact instead of Improved Fireball. Eventually, you would take Arcane to Clearcasting and Arcane Meditation, and 3 levels of Elemental Precision. How good is this spec in groups and solo PvE, especially at level 50?
Also, for a shatter build, do you use 43 points in frost so you can get to Arcane Meditation, or do you dump more into frost? Show me your builds for this style.
