Hey people.
Since I'm in the process of leveling a druid, I thought I would ask you what you use your druid for. I have a Mage, who is a achievement hunter (Loremaster, Explorer and the like), Death Knight who is everyone's tanking %^&*! and a Priest, who spends most of her time in Arena's and Battlegrounds.
But since Druids are so versatile, all options seem open. But where do you think they really shine?
In short: What's your (druids) role?

My Druid is my main character and a healer. I don't care about PvP and I don't really care about annoying achievements and I also hate farming.
So basically all the Druid does is heal in raids. And tank them occasionally as off spec.

Maybe
this
will suffice :)
Anyway, as for my Druid. It's my "do whatever" toon. Out of all 10 character slots I have, this is the one I can log-on with and do pretty much any style of play I want. Not to mention it's my only one with a Drake mount, so I feel "cool" flying around. ^^v

love the sig as always gore
basically there are no limitations to the druid class unlike everyone else
a rogue can stealth past an entire dungeon to the last boss but a cat can stealth past the whole dungeon
and
tank the boss that may kill the rogue
a paladin may be able to lay down consecrate while stacking reflective damage and create a virtual aoe deadzone that anything within the area will die but a bear can hit autorun and swipe away turning the entire map into an aoe deadzone
a healer may be able to run behind a corner, heal up, then fly off a cliff but a druid can jump off that same cliff, heal midair, and fly away...preferably with their would-be pursuer following over the edge
a demo lock may be able to do a limited amount of tanking with meta but a moonkin can do the same extent of tanking indefinately while putting out comparable aoe damage in the same amount of time as meta
druids make the perfect main because of their lack of limitations making achievements or just arrends extremely quick and trivial in difficulty

My druid is a very durable bear. I love my druid tank the most of all the tanking classes i have tried so far. 3k dps on single target in bear form... 57k hp raid buffed... like 44k unbuffed... very formidable. When i go bear, i kill things much sooner than they manage to kill me, im unstoppable.
I love fighting melee characters in world pvp. Warriors and death knights are pushovers, they never take more than 1/4 of my hp down if i DONT use my cooldowns. If i do... they leave barely a scratch. Being ganged by 3 warriors/DKs in a BG and killing them all with ease is a very good feeling. And rogues, oh those are cherries on top. Unless they know how to keep me locked out 100% of the time, they have no chance. One tiny little moment of unawareness, and they get a nice little 6k maul and a Lacerate DoT to boot... and they die a few moments later. I like how they are all like "im gonna DPS the ^&*! out of this bear", and then "omg so much dodge, and when my attack landed it only hit for 200" and then they are like "omg assraepd".
My offspec is a moonkin, which is somewhat less awesome than my bear. I only have him shortly, but there were a few moments when my jaw dropped from the awesomeness. Like last time in storm peeks. This retribution pally just goes around, and i had the feeling that he gave me a bad look, so i decide to treat him the ol' good storm peaks way. First starfire hit him for 9k... DoTs were applied, by the time he got moonfired he got the idea to turn to me... i shoved a Wrath into his face for some nice 5k, and started casting the Starfire of DOOM. He ran to me, silly pally didnt stun me, BOOOM, 13k starfire crit -> instant kill. The best way to bypass paladins bubble is to take him from 65% to 0% in a single hit XD
So yeah druids are teh sex.
