Well pvp is supposed to be balanced. Obviously it isnt balanced perfectly. Anyway some classes have it difficult against others while they can steamroll or dominate others. I'm trying to make a list how that would go.
This is all assuming equal gear and skill of course. So under the assumption the duel would be totally equal and fair. For the purpose of healing classes judge on how easy it is to kill it or survive as a healer.
As I haven't played all classes at 80 I'll need your help on the classes I dont play.
Format
Class: Name class (rock)
Paper classes: classes which the class would lose to
Rock classes: classes who have a 50/50 ratio (not including mirror matches)
Scissors classes: classes it should be able to beat
Warrior (rock)
Paper classes: Death Knight, Mage
Rock classes: Ret Paladin, Enhancement Shaman, Rogue
Scissors classes: Druids, Hunters, Holy Paladin, Priest, Resto and Elemental Shaman, Warlock
Enhancement Shaman (rock)
Paper classes: Ret Paladin, Warrior
Rock classes: Resto Druid, Holy Paladin, Rogue, Resto Shaman
Scissors classes: Death Knight, Feral Druid, Hunter, Mage, Priest, Elemental Shaman, Warlock
Please post what your experiences are.
And no qq like 'omg you cant kill x as a y?' Experiences may vary and its theorycrafting.
EDIT: indeed I messed up paper/scissors fixed.

For Warrior, I'm going to have to say that we aren't that weak.
A warrior that is well played can out any class, any spec (I'm excluding tanks since next to no one can beat a tank 1v1), All the classes listed I can beat as an arms warrior, just I myself lose though more then win since I do PvE more then PvP.
Point being, in WoW there is no "rock paper scissors", it all depends on the player.

I think you swapped rock and scissors I mean doesn't rock beat scissors? Anyhow, if I follow your template:
oops, that will teach me to post in the morning before coffee.

Can you honestly tell me you can easily pwn a frost mage? If so tell me how please.

Easily ? No. But a warrior can seriously be a problem if played defensively. It's certainly way to beat a mage with a warrior than with a DK or a ret pal.

imo,PvP should be balanced around every class being able to counter each class.

Then you end up with 15 of the same class.
But blizzard has been heading this direction for years now.. =/

In 2v2 with a healer to back me and him up.
Feral druid(rock)
-
Paper- Haunt, Frost mage
Rock- Frost or UH DK, rogue, ret paladin
Scissors- Warrior, priest, shaman, hunter, destro
The only times I lose to a Scossors comp is if the healer just out plays me with CC and drinking(usually resto druid).

So far two on topic posts ><
Anyway I was wondering Lightrain, why is a frost mage so hard when you can switch between cat and bear to not get snared/rooted?

Frost mage is hard because you have a fast attack rate 1 second swing plus specials. So you get the root proc off frost armor quite frequently.
Also no interrupt and they got shield.

I can beat a mage 1v1 without much issue, but with a healer, he can CC my healer too much and just nuke me down. Snare procs are retardedly overpowered since they get them off chill effects as well as barrier and casted, and lets not forget that Finger's of Frost make it so even powershifting snares they can still stun you in a shatter combo and there is no healer that can dispel a 5 stack of effects, slow proc, and a stun while trying to heal and the mage has almost guaranteed crits on top of his MI's and elemental all critting you at the same time and they basically have it up at all times because you hit so fast.
High rated frost mages are OP and have way too much control on top of 2 Iceblocks. Why blizz gave them a 20% MS IDK....

PvP will balance when they get rid of classes and gear and levels and skill and resources and you only have a single ability to spam nonstop.
People that QQ about their class need to L2P or reroll, simple as that.
And you need to learn to read, this topic is not a qq, its simply a question to see what class is good against what classes, and to which classes it will have difficulties.
Is it that hard to stay on topic guys?
