I'd say always start off by judging Seal of the Crusader. This makes your opponents take more damage from your holy spells.
From there, you can use Seal of Righteousness or Seal of Command, depending on which spec you are. Judging Righteousness does not overwrite the Judgement of the Crusader, so you don't have to worry about refreshing it.

While you're at it, create this lovely macro and use it instead of your normal judgement:
#showtooltip
/cast Jugement
/stopcasting
Optionally, add this to the bottom:
/cast Seal of Righteousness
Depending on your binding, you might want to swap shift for something else (codes are ctrl and alt as you may understand)
This macro allows you to first press SotC, then engage a mob with the macro, and you won't miss the holy damage on your first strike because SoR will get up immediately. When/if you get Seal of Command, just swap the name in the macro.
Finally, I'm glad you've chosen to join our bunch!
