I'd go something like:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sLZZVf0tJudging Crusader on a target first will give your whole team inc you +3% crit against that target, then seal/judge command on them. Get as slow a 2H weapon as you can get your hands on (more dmg, and more command procs).
Since you have a healbot, you dont need to worry about HP as much. Stack as much strength as you can find, like its going out of fashion.
Be good utility and give people buffs (Might / Wisdom). And the flag runner blessing of freedom.
Being that you're already 27 you may have trouble getting some of the gear by 29 though, due to the 2.3 shortened levels. Good luck.

I'd go something like:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sLZZVf0tcrusade VS divine strength
crusade = 3% damage increase
divine strength = 110% str. to AP conversion
at level 29, on average your gear will give ~8 str. if you stack str, 2 rings = ~10 str, 2 trinkets = 0 str, weap = ~20 str
slots-
head, shoulder, neck, chest, bracer, belt, glove, leg, boots, rings, weapons = 96 str
enchants
mongoose > all but 70 AP > 15 str
12 str to bracers and gloves (maybe)
120 str maybe if you stack str and disregard everything else
10% = 12 str = 24 AP = 1.7 DPS
with that much str. and thermaplugg's left arm you get ~50 DPS and crusade adds 1.5 white DPS
and still 3% spelldamage DPS
3 points in crusade > 5 points in divine str. at level 29 ;)
and that's IF you stack str. if you stack stam or int or even AP, crusade is FAR better
My Ret versionvidication = 15% less stam on your opponent = 1 or 2 less swings you have to take at your opponent = 3~8 more seconds for you to move on to your next target
PoJ = nice flag carrier/ less kiting/ faster you get to your target = more hits you make on the person, also frees up your boot enchant from speed

Hmm, I was thinking going pure Prot, since I have the Healbot priest strapped to me and then I could literally just be a brick wall of never dying.
Something like
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sZEMzczhI don't know, though. :) Thanks for the advice so far!

pure prot might come a bit boring because all you'll be doing is
pick up flag
carry flag
wait for flag to be captured
repeat
go ret and pick up the kill points ;)
Maybe this is better for flag carryingor this

I have a lvl 29 pallie twink. I played with ret a bit but with a lvl 29 rogue too it is just not as satisfying so I am turning it into an FC with offhealing ability with this build:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sVxZV0xIt is useful to be able to heal yourself without pushback even as FC.
Item suggestions:
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=7748 - Forcestone buckler with +18 sta
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=4119 - Raptor hunter with +150hp
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=7423 - Phalanx leggings 'of the eagle' with Clefthoof or preferably Nethercleft added.
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=17039 - Skullbreaker with +81 healing
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=10542 or
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=13127 - Goblin mining helmet or frostreaver with +100hp
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=6414 and
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34227 - Seal of Sylvanas and Deadman's hand (second ring is amazing for FCs as you have a good chance of rooting your pursuers especially twink rogues who can burn any amount of HP fairly fast)
FCing and PvP healing is fun :)
If you are going ret you want the following items:
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=6687 - Corpsemaker with crusader
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=4119 - Raptor hunter with +150hp
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=4107 - Tiger hunter gloves with +15 str
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=6686 - Tusken helm with +8 str or +100 HP (I would go with HP for 29s as you will get burst down fast if you do not get a decent life pool)
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=7423 - Phalanx leggings 'of the bear' or 'of the tiger' with Clefthoof or preferably Nethercleft added.
The build I would recommend is as follows:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sZZVf0tuVindication is a waste of 3 latent points IMO. The main stat you would benefit from reducing is Sta but your hit to debuff them with bring them below the 15% they lose. I guess it would have more effect if they are being healed but I see this as much more of a PvE talent.
Pursuit of Justice is amazing at this level 15% passive run speed bonus fixes so many issues for ret. In combination with Blessing of Freedom we are much harder to kite now.
Benediction > Imp Blessing of Might since you will have to swap to Blessing of Freedom a fair bit anyway, the boost from 5 talent points is not that great and mana is always a big issue in sustained combat.
I would still recommend the Holy/Prot hybrid as you will do more for your team that way that you ever will as ret and it can be great fun. Try and get a 2 or 3 sets of gear so you can respec and enjoy completely different playstyles. :)
