I'd take at least three points from Healing Focus and put them in Healing Grace, reducing your threat in a group setting will be more important than avoiding interruption if you are getting hit. If you are getting hit something has gone wrong. Otherwise, keeping in mind that I'm not an expert on Restoration builds, it looks good to me.

Wow, this thread is full of terrible, terrible advice. The spec you linked is pretty good. Nature's Guardian is an amazing talent and will save you quite often. Likewise, healing focus is critical for being able to keep yourself (and others) alive while getting hit. We aren't priests, we don't have fade, and we aren't sissy paladins with bubble. Shamans are supposed to be tough and able to take a licking and keep on ticking, and talents should reflect that.
I've actually opted to put 8 in elemental for Elemental Warding, as reducing spell damage is really amazing in a lot of SSC and TK fights (and even karazhan/ZA). Staying alive means you can keep healing others.

dude, this is a spec for a 60, i highly doubt he'd be going to SSC and TK. now at 70 he should get nature's guardian and healing focus, but for simple 5 mans you don't need full points in nature's guardian. when he levels 3 more times, sure put it in there. l2read
Au contraire, I did read. I read far into it than you did. If he's doing 5 mans while leveling from 60 to 70 he is undoubtedly going to be grouping with some terrible people who don't know how to taunt or CC effectively, and will thus be smacked around a bit. I healed every leveling instance as enhance, but I at least had 5 in healing focus. If you're leveling as resto, you're going to want NG because aside from saving your ass in instances, it also provides mana saving free heals while grinding, so you can use water shield instead of earth shield most of the time to keep your mana flowing.

Drop Nature's Guardian altogether, honestly. As a raiding resto shaman I don't have it, and anytime I get hit it's either due to my error or I'm being hit once by a boss or mob. Pay attention, learn to heal, you won't need the slim cushion it provides.

Feel free to check out my profile, I'm the Kanaka on Terenas.
You picked Totemic Focus (worth 10mp5, if that) over Nature's Guardian. I can't believe you're in SSC and you've never encountered a situation where NG wouldn't have saved you. It's basically a free 1k health on raids. Last time we cleaned out the first 5 bosses in SSC I got 23 nature's guardian procs according to recount. Granted I'm sure a lot of those were from trash, but I've had it save my ass 4 times in the same karathess fight.
I dunno what kind of progress your guild has made in ZA, but Halazzi, Malacrass, and Zul'jin (especially P3) are pretty much suicide without Nature's Guardian. Last phase 3 zul'jin, over half my healing in phase 3 was a combination of Nature's Guardian and Healing Stream Totem.
