if that's the case, then post. But it's not hard to start your post with
I have read the stickies and haven't been able to find a particular piece of information or discussion on my particular question

I agree with Trolls and Loki to a point. Yeah, the stickies can leave a newbie with questions, that's true. But lately, after about a fortnight of checking the boards and finding 95% of new topics "what is teh furry hit rating?" "what is def capp?" "how do I press arms buttons rotationOMG?" and other similar thought-provoking questions, I haven't bothered checking back so regularly.
But honestly? All you've got to do is hit the search box and type <my question here> and get a whole page of threads on the subject pop right up.
If that doesn't happen...grats! You've got a thread no one can grumble about.
I'm also a bit wary of people who aren't 'willing' to spend 5 minutes checking something out. If you honestly don't have time, fine, it happens. If you just can't be bothered you should go back to facerolling that retadin, imo.
/end rant ;)

I agree with winterhorn. it takes the same or less time to type in the search field and browse for answers.
But it's true that some stickies are in need of updating.
