i have 1315 views on my tanking & AoE guide, and 2 feedback....
i know it's not complete
but i only have 2 feedback to work with
if you don't want to write anything negative or redundant in the thread of my guide, at least write it here please
or at least rate it out of 10 and state what you liked and what you didn't, like "it was too long" or "it was not detailed enough"

is it so hard for people to rate my guide? i mean it now has 5.8k views, and i have 4 responses...
if i have more materials to work with, the more suitable it will be for the viewers

What little I read it seems really well written however since I am holy spec I didn't really read too much in to it.

I need to know how to set up these macros but I'm sure I can find something somewhere that will do a walkthru for it.
Thank you for taking the time to write it!

Honestly, I'd retitle it to level 70 tanking guide, because it doesn't really give that much insight on any of the pre-70 stuff in my opinion. Perhaps you could beef up the 5 man instance stuff a bit more for us that haven't made 70 yet.
You provide lots of good information; seems to repeat much of what has been said on
www.tankspot.com
, which is another fantastic resource and guide on tanking.
Thanks for contributing to the Paladin forum; I'm glad that people write guides so I can read them!

Yeah... I need to rename it, but not because it lacks pre-70 content.
I will resume the guide once my exams are over and it will include pre-70 tips.

Thanks, I'll take a look at that site when I have time to do so.

Some pallies have a million macros and tell me that I 'have' to use them and all these other add-ons too..Why can't I be good enough just using my mouse and the normal UI?
I'm more of a casual gamer, I can't see myself raiding more than 6 hours a week.
I've tried using macros and various user interfaces, but I find it more natural for just the threat meter and maybe 1 or 2 macros.
Honestly, I've seen a warrior tank (friend of mine) tank Karazhan on a touchpad, your mouse should be good enough.
What is 'required' to be a good tank? what things should I be focusing on being really fast at?
There are 2 things required to be a good tank, which, neither involves gear or talent.
Practise, and trial and error.
Why? Gear, you can get green quest rewards to tank instances and work your way up. No problem with that.
Talent, you can always experiment to suit your tanking styles and you always have the option of respeccing.
But you can never replace your experience and your concept of the tanking mechanisms.
Even though I tank a couple raids and heroic instances here and there, due to my schedule, and the fact that I have a dedicated healer with me, my spec is going to be stupid for any other paladin, and yet, I get praised for my work.
I just have a bunch of 'newbish' questions that would drive someone who's been playing for a while crazy.
This is the place to ask, and you have the entire community you can drive crazy ;)

Ever thought of the fact that the Protection Paladin community might be very small compared to Holy Paladins? That might be the reason to very little response.
Edit
Just wanted to add this is out of my own thoughts. I've got ~90 days played on my Paladin and I've never had more than 25 points in Protection and that was to try out a Retribution/Reckoning build.

Yes, but the number of views to number of posts ratio was confounding.

Oh, yes, that's one of my works in progress.

This is the best advice that anyone can give. Pay attention to the advice, techniques, and sequences that are given here, try them out, and learn what works! Understanding the mechanics of any class, especially understanding why you died/wiped is probably the best thing you can do to learn how to play better (for any class)!
Again, great work; excellent feedback; and GL on your exams!
