Depends entirely on the group.
2.5-5 hours, pending speed/wipes/knowledge/etc.

Yes, but it's unlikely with a PuG.
Most PuGs either finish in one sitting or not at all, from my experience. (Which is admittedly limited, as I don't PuG much)

Thanks, I have never raided before and have only done heroics to this point. Can a radi be partially done and then return later to finish with the same group...I am not clear with the progression piece of things. I have yet to see this specifically in a sticky so that is why I am asking.
to answer your question, yes they can be continued. it is possible to go back night after night, downing one boss per night. however, this is very unlikely to happen, ESPECIALLY with pugs. pugs are usually a one night thing. if it doesn't finish that night, it probably won't.
i would suggest joining a guild that does raids. not necessarily a "hardcore raiding guild", just one that raids ulduar and higher level raids. then, if you don't complete it in one night, you can be more assured that there will be a planned continuation.

If this is your first time raiding i would advise against raid leading... join some other peoples PuGs first to get a feel for the bosses/how raid works and how you think a good raid can be managed.
I would also suggest joining a casual raiding guild, theres plenty of them about (on my server anyway :P )

I wouldn't run Ulduar 10 for gear; you run it for the raiding experience. Apart from trinkets and some offset pieces, you get better loot from Conquest badges (not to mention Triump from daily heroic/Onyxia/VoA/etc).

Higher ilevel =/= better, unfortunately.
