PvP neck

So I am looking at which pvp neck I should get for my mage.
I think the two obvious caster choices are:
Vindicator's Pendant of Conquest
and
Vindicator's Pendant of Dominance
So obviously the Conquest neck (with the crit) is meant for mages, but with all the resilience gear out there I was thinking it was better to pick up the extra int (+5), stam (+4), and spell damage (+5) with the Dominance neck.
Is that a reasonable idea or should I just quit while i'm ahead?

I've chose the Crit one as a PVP mage.
Since people are getting more and more resil, you'll have to stack more and more crit to kill em.
Crit kills people.

Resilience also has a secondary effect of reducing crit damage taken; not just taking crits. If you stack more and more crit to counteract your enemies stacking more and more resil, how is that increasing damage? Youd need to stack spell damage to counteract the resil. Unless im missing something here..
Crit != Damage
Haha I think 4500 a frostbolt crit is enough to kill people.
The more you score it, the more you kill.
I think you really miss something. Maybe you don't do enough PVP.. but with time you'll notice that when you kill people, or when you duel, everytime you win vs someone else, it's cause of crits. If you do only land normal hit, he'll end up killing you first. The more you do crits, the more you kills people.
After 2 times 4000 crit, we can say there's not much more HP left on anyone, 1 fireblast and its done. Now let's say you have 40% chance to score a crit, you'll end up that guy way more quickly.
PvE is your excel domain, PvP is mine. PvE is about damage and longevity, PvP is about burst damage, doing more dmg in less time means better (no matters mana), contrary to PvE.
Of course Crit != Damage...
Crit = Kills

No wonder you think crit is so good. All your arena teams hover at around a 1500 rating. There are a lot of people at this rating without resilience gear because its the default rating for new teams.
I dont mean for this to be condescending, please dont take it that way, but what happened to the large amounts of games that were losses? Each of your teams has ~20+ games in but the highest win percentage for the 3 teams is under 60%. 4500 x 2 = 9k damage. Follow it up with a fireblast, like you said, and you can kill a large percentage of players. How did you lose so much with this much crit? Did you kill all those newbie 1st game teams with your 4500 frostbolts, then when you moved up the rank a few points and met someone with resilience, lost those matches bringing you back down again? Is it just bad luck with the season resets?
My bad arena rating had nothing to do with my spec or my huge crits. I just don't have a good team, we just cant team-play. Arenas are way more about team-playing and strategy than gear/stats. I've seen poor geared / no resil geared team 1800+. They have a good setup and working strategy, thats all it needs.
By the way, from the time I specced Fire (I'm actually Fire), we started to loose way much Arenas, since my crits are 3200 with long ass casting fireballs instead of 4500 fast frostbolts.. thus killing less people.
I dont have a lot of experience with PVP and dont really want to; I want to put my 10 games in a week for PVP items for PVE. But amongst my time theorycrafting and talking with other like-minded people, I have heard and read discussions about PVP in general and Mage PVP and I listened. It seems that stamina, resil and spell damage are the stats to go for, and take any crit that comes with it. Sure, crit is important because getting that extra damage (even if its mitigated by resil) helps, I just dont think you should emphasize on it because your spell damage will suffer.
I will do better than your high-minded stam/spelldmg geared friends in a 20 min AB, kills wise, damage wise, death wise.
Once I'll get back to my PvP spec, I'll continue my video footage and post it here. Only when you'll see you may understand what I'm talking about.

I don't have much video footage at the moment, since I've respecced Fire to try it.
When IV comes out, I'll respec my pvp build asap and continue the footage of my video.
But when I come home I'll look at what I have recorded up to now, I may be able to mix something to show you what I'm talking about =)
Just for you!
