I have been lvling with affli (i'm lvl 66 now) i got bored with WoW some time ago, and quitted playing and now i'm just wonering if i start it again should i respecc demo for lvling. Is it easier to lvl with demo than affli? I have noticed that with affli i don't have to drink at all, but other demo locks that are grinding, must drink. So... what should i do?

Yea, i was 1st in damage on most of the instances with affli. Just asking is it really faster leveling with demo, because 90% of the locks lvl 10-69 seem to be demonology :D Ty 4 the answers.

I used the felguard to level from 60 to 70, with a demo/affli template.
It makes questing and farming mobs outside very easy, you can basically do anything up to 3 player quests (even if the mobs are immune to fear) : he's a tank/dps and you're a dps/healer.
As for drinking all the time, i didn't really have too, but i didn't do full dps either. Basically, i was putting up 2-3 dots, and then life tapping and life draining in order to end back at full health/mana.
Every 5-10 mobs, heal the felguard, then on the next mob you put CoS up, less dots and more life drain than usual and you end back up at full health again.
Not the fastest way to kill individual mobs, but it allows for non-stop killing too and gives the opportunity to control/go full out in case you over agro mobs.
It's a very repetitive gameplay however.
As for instances, it's still quite efficient, the bonuses from demonology plus the pet dps result in good dps, plus the pet can offtank for a little while.
But you really have to be fast about enabling/disabling the pet skills (taunt and cleave) depending on the situation and call back the pet when he's in an AoE.
I was surprised at how i ended dps-wise in the instances i did for Karazhan attunement. Neither first nor last, but for a badly geared alt who didn't do any instance before being lvl 70, it was quite good.

I like Felguard the best for grinding, since the pet buffs you and he can tank elites, although many prefer to DoT and run.
Once you have a lot of raiding gear, I found the 21/40 build with saccing a Voidwalker (for health regen for life taps) worked best for me (I play on PvP server so need health regen to counter gankers).
