PUGs are fun. Is the universe ending?

I don't know if it is because the instances are shorter and less frustrating, but I am having a blast in PUGs these days, even when there is failure.
In the old days (mostly before Wrath), PUGs were a crapshoot and they usually ended in dismal failure. People threw around accusations angrily like monkeys throwing around their own feces. "The tank sucked!" "The healer was awful!" "Your DPS is too low, n00b!"
Lately, I have been running daily heroics with PUGs and random other heroics just for fun and they have been just that. Everyone has been getting along and I am shocked.
I was in a ToC normal mode the other night. It was full of fail. But in spite of the fact that everyone had a repair bill that would make even the richest Stormwind noble shudder, we wiped happily a couple of times and then shook hands, laughed it off, and went our separate ways.Nobody rode the tank. The tank didn't blame anyone else.
That's one example that I can think of that occurred within the past week, but it's been this way for me for a while.
Is anyone else noticing that PUGs aren't so bad anymore or is it just me?

Oh, no, they're still out there, you just hit a lucky streak. I've been in heroic ToC groups where a shaman neglected to recall his totems when we started the second event. The result? All 3 packs of mobs aggroed said totems, ganked us, and then reset....within 10 yards of one another. That ended up being one of the worst trash pulls I've ever seen =/.
At the same time though I've started Naxx 10 raids where we went in and 3 hours later, we were picking our loot up off of KT's body with no wipes. It all depends on what you are trying to do, the raid leader, and the maturity level of the group.

Main point is that with the daily and general badge upgrading, you find a number of raider or raider alts that want to gear up quickly and farm heroics they never set foot into just for the instances rewards. I'm not going to say that all raiders are gods compared to other players, but it does increase somewhat the amount of people who know what they are doing (and have some good gear already).

My pugs have been very good in wotlk so far even raid pugs. I have had some problems but not really a lot of name calling, kicking or leaving. However, I was called a noob and ebay'er yesterday in a H ToC because we wiped 5-6 times.

No, the dungeons are just easier now (Northrend). I mean there's all the achievements and stuff, but just getting through a dungeon is pretty easy.

Plus, worst case scenario, you wipe a few times, split up, grab a few more people and try the last boss again (because there's only three, and there are nine other instances to run).
I was so much expecting to see
"Plus, worst case scenario, you wipe a few times, grab another beer, keep the smile and tries going"

It's me too! 15min Utgarde Keeps ftw. Non-Stop Utgarde Pinnacles. Nexus Slamming. Occulus Ownage... You get the idea.
If you don't enjoy them at this point in time of WoW, it's most likely your own fault. :-)

A big part of it is you. Hurray for being older and more mature.
Seriously, when one person in a group can laugh at a wipe, it changes the dynamics of the group. People laugh along and have fun. You may be unaware of how strongly you affect the group's morale.

For every 15 min UK run, the Non-Stop UP, Nexus Slamming, Occulus Ownage (lol), there's another 4-5 runs where the Pug falls to crap. Pally's that swear they can tank as Ret, Priests that think PW:S and renew are "Good enough." for heals, Mages that spam Ice Lance when their proc isn't ready for it or at random just because it "Looks cool."
PUGs should be the last place a player goes to get a run done. Guild first. To make it seem like the LFG channel is chalk full of win, is not only comedic, it's also pretty far from the truth.
Perhaps your server is different from Aerie Peak (Alliance Side), but over there, Pugs are known for being laughably bad.
