I'll go any summon unless i'm positive that my time is wasted doing so and i'll be summoned faster.
Seems pointless to drop questing in the middle of say HF and 2 people are in Borean Tundra, when they can head over to the Nexus in under 8 mins (perhaps unlike me) and summon. Assuming I have no FP link via DB.

If I don't see everyone moving towards the stone I drop group. The summoning stone is a luxury, not an excuse for you to slack off. I understand if we're doing CoS and you're in IF, but if we're doing OK and you're idling in dalaran, you either mount up, get on a taxi, or find yourself someone else.
I do instances for enchanting mats only these days, and it doesn't bother me at all to drop group and go fishing instead.

I feel the same way Boom.
If you are the leader of the group at least have the common courtesy to be at the summoning stone when its time to start the instance, you invited us, you got the party together show up to the damn summon stone to help summon the party u started. >.<
EDIT: I also agree with Raleandris

If I made the group, I would always help summon. If I got invited, I would only help if I was closest, unless I said before I got invited that I needed to finish something.
*Sorry about venting, I feel better now.
Goodie =)
General etiquette: Group is full, everyone heads to the stone, the first two there help summon.
Sorry I don't agree. If someone is finishing up something, and you are just slacking in Dalaran, you can be nice and take that flight, the same way as you want people to summon you if they are slacking and you are doing something. People shouldn't be selfish, but they don't need to waste time on a flight only to get summoned when they are almost there either.
