depends on what you use your paladin for

yes, bombs is very good for paladins as they have no ranged attacks (non-talent)

but what the hell is a bomb going to do for a holy paladin? almost nothing, 500 damage is negligiable and you'd rather be healing
prot paladin, yes pulling is easier but you can just purchase EZ-throw dinamite for that
ret paladin, who sees a lot of PvP action gains the most out of it

the goggles in engineering is very good though, and many people go after that, if you don't need the goggles i suggest something like

mining/BS - Master hammersmith - Stormherald for ret paladin pvp
mining/BS - Master armorsmith - Breastplate of ancient kings (i think) for PvE tanking

herb/alch - pots and xmutes (mana pots for holy paladin)
herb/enchanting - ring enchants, + easy money at level 70 and skill level 350
