i'm trying to outfit my 70 lock with decent blues for entry level raiding, but i'm having a tough time finding items. my sole goal is not to tailor anything and just depend on drops.
what i've got right now / looking forward to getting through quests:
head -

shoulders -
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=30925
gloves -
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=30924
staff -
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=25760
wand -
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=25640
(pvp purps, the neck / cape / ring)
however i'm having a hard time filling the rest out. there are lots of instance drops too im sure but im looking at quests because i want to finish all the quests in outland as well as get the cash rewards from them. does anyone have any suggestions?

maybe i'm alone, but i never bothered with professions when i was leveling up. of course now i realize that they're important, but i just don't want to waste alot of money into leveling, and then money into mats for gear that i will probably(hopefully?) replace once i start raiding. all my gold is already having fun leveling enchanting, of which i also didn't start until i got 70.

I was able to get 750+ unbuffed with just regular instance drops and some quest items.
Here's the list I posted on my guild forums.
Helm: Hood of Oblivion - From Arcatraz. Fit it with a spirit shard meta gem and a glowing nightseye along with the head enchant from revered with Sha'Tar.
Neck: Natasha's Arcane Filament - From the quest line "The Hound-Master" in Blade's Edge Mountains or Brooch of Heightened Potential from Shadow Labyrinth.
Shoulders: Spaulders of Oblivion - Fit it with Veiled Noble Topaz, Glowing Nightseye and your shoulder enchant from either Scryer or Aldor.
Back: Sethekk Oracle Cloak - From Sethekk Halls. Hmm... an enchant suitable might be +20 spell penetration. Up to you. If you're the type that likes more spell damage you can go with crafting Cloak of the Black Void, but you lose out on Stamina.
Chest: Bloodfyre Robes of Annihilation - Regular Mechannar run, drops off the chest. Enchant with what you want here.
Wrist: Shattrath Wraps - Fit it with either, Runed Living Ruby, Runed Blood Garnet or the Honor Hold PVP Stark Blood Garnet, then enchant it with Enchant Bracer - Spellpower.
Gloves: Jaedenfire Gloves of Annihilation - First boss in Shadow Labs for Warlocks/Shadow Priests then slap a Pre-BC +20 shadow damage enchant or a BC +20 spell damage on it. *OR* Energis Armwraps in Botanica for mages and put the +20 spell damage on it.
Waist: Sash of Serpentra from Steam Vaults. I used this because it has good stats. Some people might like Akama's Sash from the quest line in Shadowmoon Valley because it has more spell damage.
Legs: Devil-Stitched Leggings - Botanica. Gems to use. Runed Living Ruby, Veiled Noble Topaz, Glowing Nightseye and you can either slap a Mystic Spellthread or a Runic Spellthread if you're rich.
Boots: Shattrath Jumpers - From the quest line "Into the Heart of the Labyrinth." Gems to use, Glowing Nightseye, Veiled Noble Topaz. Enchant it with what you like... fortitude would be a good choice.
Rings: Arcane Netherband from Botanica and assuming you're friendly with Violet Eye, go hit up Kara and get the Violet ring.
Trinkets: Glowing Crystal Insignia - From the quest line "Overlord Gorefist" and Mark of Defiance from Honor Hold PVP or Oculus of the Hidden Eye from first boss in Auchenai Crypts.
Weapon: Continuum Blade from revered with Keepers of Time, Mana Wrathfrom Mechanar or Greatsword of Horrid Dreams from Shadow Labyrinth. Enchant any of these with +40 spell damage.
Shadow Preists should get Runesong Dagger from Shattered Halls as we can't use swords =/
Offhand: The Saga of Terokk from the quest line "Terokk's Legacy" if you don't have this, you could go either with Hortus' Seal of Brilliance from Shattered Halls, Manual of the Nethermancer from Mechanar, or Lamp of Peaceful Radiance from Arcatraz. Personally, I combo with The Saga of Terokk as it makes up for the lack of intellect from the Blade. And it also has the most spell damage out of the offhands.
Wand: Wand of the Netherwing - Shadow Labyrinth.
So let's calculate this:
Head: 40 + 12 + 5 + 22 + 5 = 84
Neck: 29
Shoulders: 29 + 5 + 5 + (15 for Aldor non-exalted) = 54
Back: 22
Chest: 54
Wrist: 21 + (Lets say +7 gem) and 15 = 43
Gloves: (39 + 20 = 59 for Warlocks/Shadow Priests) (34 + 20 = 54 for Mages or whoever else)
Waist: 25 for Serpentra or 40 for Akama's
Legs: 29 + 9 + 5 + 5 + 5 + (25 Mystic spellthread) = 78
Boots: 29 + 5 + 5 = 39
Rings: 21 + (22 Violet Signet) = 43
Trinkets: (32 Mark of Defiance + 33 Oculus of the Hidden Eye) = 65
Main Hand: (121 Continuum Blade) + 40 = 161
Off Hand: (28 The Saga of Terokk)
Wand: 16
Total: 795
Of course, not everyone can afford blue gems for rares, you could use green gems and you still won't be far off from this total. Note: I calculated only using Spell Damage. So for the gloves part, I calculated with the Energis Wraps and not the Jaedenfire Gloves of Annihilation.
