I like bc pvp best, pre bc raiding (minus the prep, but mc and bwl were the best raids) and wrath leveling/questing/gear.
I hate wrath raiding, it's like too easy or something, just
doesn't feel epic anymore
. But it may just be my place in life now, not caring as much about doing 4 hour raids every night.
This.
WoWs been around what, 5 years now? Of course its epic feel is going away
FOR YOU,
because you've been playing so long. But newer players who are just coming to game are getting a bigger feeling out of the wrath dungeons than you did out of the pre-BC dungeons, so all in all, wrath raiding is better than pre-BC raiding.
Anyways, agree with the comment that BC had the best PvP
period.

... if you got epics you had a sense of achievement, not just, "well cool, better gear, on you go".
I think this is the thing that sticks out most to me. I never played pre-BC, since I joined at Patch 2.1, but I do remember being surprised how much easier it was to grind rep with the SSO by just doing their dailies and getting epics tossed at me compared to how much more work it seemed to jump from normal Lvl80 content to heroics and raiding (as a tank).
On one hand, it's nice that epics are available to make the jump into raiding easier, but on the other hand, exactly how epic is the
Titansteel Destroyer
I dropped 1k gold to get access to raids when it was replaced my first run with
The Jawbone
?
Though you'd think I learn from even TBC when I spent untold money to craft
Blazeguard
and
Fireguard
, which got tossed out after two runs through Karazhan and Zul'Aman.)

I love how people say everquest sucks, more then likely you NEVER raided in EQ. Scars of Vellious expansion has to be one of the greatest expansions in MMO history. I will admit that I lost interest when Plains of Power released but that was a good 5 or 6yrs into the game. I love WoW and would never go back to EQ in its current state but give credit where credit is due, only people that couldnt get past lvl20 or even figure the game out or hell just go by what others say, says everquest suck. And in case you didnt know most of WoWs lead developers were hardcore EQ players. Just makes me mad when people straight up dont want to recognize what the big MMO was before WoW. Do you all say UO was $%^&ty too?

False to the max. Season 2 was the best and most balanced/fun PvP period. What screwed PvP was blizzard being too worried that X nerf would make the PvE players of that class cry, so they didn't have the balls to step up and fix things. Then things got out of control s3 and especially s4, and now today PvP balance is #$%^ing terrible.
