Mongoose
is still the best enchant for protection warriors on your weapon, and Rivets suggests the auction house - which is a good idea.
Also, the
Trial of the Champion
five-man instance is a good place to get some decent tanking gear to keep you going while you farm heroics for Conquest emblems.

A Cleave build isn't necessary. All you gain from Imp Cleave is 260ish bonus damage, that before armor reduction.
Glyph of Cleaving is the greatness for heroics tanking. As I found out yesterday, it's also great for getting
Disarmed
without really aiming for it lol.

Yes, yes, yes.
Improved Revenge is not necessary. Devastate is better than or close enough to Revenge in any situation where you're not constantly rage-starved. Those points are much better spent in Focused Rage. Low rage situations do still exist, after all.
When talented,
Revenge
still does more DPS than
Devastate
. That means, when you're ahead on threat, you'll get more out of
Revenge
than you will
Devastate
(the latter should only be cycled in to keep up your sunder stack).
Glyph of Shield Wall is excellent, especially if you are just starting out (where you want to use it a lot, like on large trash pulls), and especially if you're going with 2/2 Improved Disciplines.
It's also great to have in later content when the bosses hit harder and you may need it twice in a fight (heroic Northrend Beasts sticks out, should Icehowl hit someone).
Glyph of Revenge, on the other hand, is terrible. If you need to use Revenge instead of Devastate, you don't want to be using Heroic Strike anyway; you'd rather have the rage gain from the white swing.
Revenge
DPS is higher than
Devastate
, so that's why I'd be using
Revenge
- and if you're claiming that a white swing after it is somehow better than a
Heroic Strike
, I'm not too sure what game you're playing.

Also, to earlier mention rage starvation, then question the inclusion of a glyph that lessens it significantly is, quite frankly, baffling.
Glyph of Devastate is also pretty bad. You shouldn't be using Devastate on large pulls, and its benefit on single targets is minimal.
I spec/glyph for boss tanking, which is what I do in my guild. Getting sunders up in half the time is of great benefit, and the additional threat building at the start of the fight is also well worth it, as you get the additional threat from the additional sunder.
You want Glyph of Cleaving if you do any trash or add tanking, ever.Emalon's adds, Razorscale's Aerie, Thorim's arena, Anub'arak's spiders... All tanked safely without the
Glyph of Cleaving
. I don't need epeen DPS numbers when I'm tanking, to be honest.
I'd also go with Glyph of Blocking, especially when you're first starting out. It gives you more mitigation against trash and more threat against single targets.
Just starting out, yes; I'd happily say that the
Glyph of Blocking
is worthwhile. But if you're running
Glyph of Devastate
, the additional threat is coming from elsewhere and, in later content, the extra block value is barely worth it.
The next time you wish to disagree with me, at least do it without the condescending attitude and inconsistent logic.

Mongoose
procs give a warrior more dodge, more armour and more
Heroic Strikes
through the increased attack speed; it also procs very generously in my experience.
Avoidance.
Effective health.
Threat.
All three of a tanks most important stats are to be found in one enchantment. That's why I believe it to remain the best, though, I don't think
Blood Draining
is a mile behind when pushing content.

Mongoose, accuracy and blood draining are the best tank weapon enchant choices at the moment. Accuracy is the best threat enchant, blood draining is the best survivability enchant, and mongoose is a bit of both. Blade ward is also a bit of both, but it's less consistent than mongoose and just generally badly designed.

i was just curious to your reasoning, and hoping you had numbers to back it up. i've been looking at these 3 enchants for a while now, but mongoose never wins out for me.
EH: BD is far superior - equivalent to 100-200 stam on fights where it's good.
avoidance: BW is definitely superior post 3.2.
threat: not something i'm concerned about on my primary tanking weapons, but hit/crit is probably better.
mongoose does have a bit of everything, but is also less effective in all cases - maybe i would enchant a weapon for running farm content with mongoose, but i'm not convinved to use it for progression yet.
40% uptime for 2% crit, ~1% dodge, and 240 armor is not bad, just not overwhelming.

As you can see, I'm not a stamina stacker nor someone who goes mad on threat - I'm a bit of everything because I think, in many ways, that's playing to the class strengths. I'm pretty aggressive with armour, though, but appreciate that it's a stat that provides both DPS/TPS and mitigation.
I would lean toward agreeing with your argument on
Blood Draining
when pushing content, but the extra dodge and armour on
Mongoose
make it very difficult to assess how much actual damage you're lessening. I suppose you could do a Patchwerk test with both enchants and see how much actual healing you needed to receive throughout, but I strongly suspect the very nature of RNG would make such a comparison pointless.
Additionally, I think the increased uptime of
Mongoose
in comparison with the spurious procs of
Blade Warding
make the former preferable, but I'll need to revisit the latter; I'm told it's changed somewhat, and I do note that other tanks I generally respect have retested it.
I'll let you know how it goes.

BW did change with 3.2, and does have higher uptime now.
basically, i wouldn't argue strongly with anyone who picked any of the three. they are all fine for different reasons.
i have BD on my primary tanking weapon, but was trying to decide between mongoose and BW for a second weapon.
