We're talking about Prot PvP, not PvE. In PvE anyway, who actually has mana issues on trash? If so, just use Seal of Wisdom on them, no great big deal.
Anyway, my response was intended on being relatively sarcastic. I mean, come on, the net effect of my change 'in order to fix Ret OP' is to make no real difference to Ret, boost Holy to unstoppable levels, and boost Prot about the same way. You can't honestly have been trying to take me seriously. It was more to highlight that stuffing around with DP doesn't really work the way the OP might have wanted.
Well it could be applied to PvP as well. I.e los around a pillar. And ill keep the aoe threat of vengeance over wisdom. good luck holding 4+ mobs with just hotr and conc...
No, what I meant was, the mana problems that bender and I were talking about were prot PvP mana issues.

glyphed on Divine Plea so that I can use it while tanking.
3.2 will already be fixing Ret burst damage, which is really the only thing that makes them OP in PvP; that being said, I'm against
any nerf that is made solely for PvP reasons because it effects PvE.
3.2 doesn't really fix Ret burst, it just reduces it a bit. Besides, then everyone will come to the dark side and switch to Prot burst, and the cycle starts all over again.
As for glyph of DP, the OP proposed that glyph of DP would eliminate the healing debuff, or alternatively, that it would be built into Guarded by the Light.
Probably better to be built into a talent, all things considered, it'd be pretty stupid to have the 'ret OP nerf', nerfed itself by a simple glyph. But yes, this idea doesn't really work.
