Personal statistic reset?

I noticed a few days ago, that your character statistic (kills, gold etc) seems to have been reset. On my mage I got some 234k honor kills - now the achievement tab -> statistic claims I have 1 or 2 :-( I no longer have any means to track my total hks or the more detailed number of hks in specific battlegrounds.
The personal statistic concerning gold earned also claims, that I have made 1c.......but just 2 weeks ago I had credit for close to 2 million gold (which was way too low btw).
In my guild I run a competition with gold rewards for reaching certain amounts of hks - but this obviously depends on players' ability to track their amount of kills.
Is this "reset" only temporary?
Does Blizz still keep a record of every character in the sense that your "character statistic" will be re-created later on?

We're not able to assist with in-game issues since Wowhead isn't a part of Blizzard.

In any case - Blizz fixed it today. Must have been a minor bug.
