The only way anyone could've really hacked you is via exploits in either your operating system, installed software or network security (which involves how you use your web browser, which sites you visit, if there is a current Java / Flash exploit going on or if you use unsafe P2P networking).
AddOns cannot steal your username and password because they are bound to a script language called LUA, which only works within the given framework of WoW itself and cannot interact with your files or login keystrokes. I think you may have a keylogger if this happened several times now.
What I do personally (and I can't afford an authenticator) is use
KeePass
to manage my logins. It generates long, obscure passwords for you to use and stores them in an encrypted database. You copy-paste them into login fields, and all but the most nasty keyloggers can't grab your passwords easily that way since you're not physically typing them. It's of course only one of the many measures you should undertake to keep your online presence secured, but every little bit helps.
Oh, one more thing: Never share your passwords, even with friends or family. It's not because you don't trust them, but because you can't be responsible for their security on top of yours. If they have a keylogger (which you have no way of checking!) and type in your password, it's already done for.

In response to cawfee:
Ever hear of a virus? They're these nasty little buggers that attach themselves to the files on your computer. Just because you don't run imavirus.exe doesn't mean you're not infected. Someone who downloads an infected add-on is likely to be "hacked."

How many "infected addons" have people obtained from Curse or WoWinterface?
Seriously, I'd like to know.

My account was supsended not too long ago too, this happened after I couldn't get back on because my password suddenly was invalid. When I had a gm online (on my gf's account) he was able to tell it was indeed a hacker and I got my account unfrozen and my items back.
They just need time to verify if your account was hacked most likely and you will probably get it back once they do.
