Just one question with the EoC badges can you buy T8 or T8.5?
The conquest vendor sells T8.5 (Helm and Chest, each for 58 badges).

The changes are genius. Period. There is a reason why WoW is the greatest MMOs ever made. (Of course I'm basing this on sales and player base). The changes are great. They allow good casual players to acquire pre-raid gear.
/applaud. You started off beautifully.
It allows people who "aren't good" to acquire equally good gear without having to deal with guilds breathing down their necks to "L2P".
This mentality however, I do NOT agree with. Good gear is a reward for downing a tough boss, or farming a drop for hours upon hours, etc etc. It shouldn't just be given out freely. Players who are terrible, need to be told to L2P. If they can't play, they should stick to running heroics. That is not to say I disagree with 3.2 Badge changes, it's just this mentality I do not agree with.
For me, WoW can be played many ways. Skills should NOT be a factor to enjoying a game.
Why the ^&*! do you think this?
A game should be fun no matter your skill level.
Really? So all games should be preschool level? Only games that require you to match blocks to a hole require next to no skill, and as a result are unintuitive, boring, and pointless to play. The level of difficulty is what that interests us as players, what keeps us going. Content at level 80 is created for that reason, to challenge those who attained the highest level to new instances and mechanics they didn't experience while leveling, raiding one of those.
And also, the game is fun no matter your skill level. I see noobs running VC every weekend, the same guy LFG for it every weekend... He has the time of his life even though he won't see past Vanilla WoW. To say that the game isn't fun without the best of the best gear is blind, and ignorant.
Only in WoW have I seen fellow players tell people to quit playing because of skill.... its almost insane. I mean, I've played Risk, Monopoly, Starcraft,Diablo, Neverwinter Nights WoW: TCG, Axis and Allies... countless games... I have never seen an instance where it was common practice to tell someone to quit a game just because they weren't good... not because they didn't enjoy it.
While I agree, those people shouldn't quit, they should stick to Fishing, Achievements, Crafting, Heroics, Leveling... or one of the other thousand things to do in WoW. And I don't agree with people telling others to quit... they paid for the game as did we, they just might not belong in our raid groups, or our guilds.
WoW should be about fun and everyone should get gear.
Lo and behold, patch 3.2. However, to say that everyone should get EQUAL gear, is ridiculous. Communism has never worked. It's a fantasy. Giving everyone the best gear gives them nothing to work for, nothing to play for. As in real life, as there are rich people, and poor people, in game there is, and needs to be, geared out people, and noobs. The "Class Struggle" must live on.
On a side note...
Yes, we can ALL be winners
YES!
WE!
CAN!
...rofl Obama fails.

to make the 40 man raid harder just lower the enrage timers by a good margin. cant see why someone didnt think about that earlier- if the 10/25 man timer is 5 mins on a boss make it 4 mins for the 40 man. Make it so there cant be many screw-ups or the raid wipes on enrage

Just to make a point about your misunderstanding of Communism-
There has never been a Communist country which has gotten past the "Dictatorship of the Proletariat" phase. Though the dictatorship is not Marx's idea, it was popularized by many Russian Communists pre-Soviet Union. You can't say Communism has "never worked" until it has actually entered a phase where it is actually Communist.
Ah, how I enjoy the value of my Russian History class now.
Moreso to the point of the thread- You do not own the intellectual property that is this game. Sorry to inform you of this. The company, "Blizzard" owns all rights to this game and can do with it as it pleases.
Have a nice day.

-_- Short naked assertion.
To finish this out though- You haven't seen a Communist state hit the full blown Communism mark that Marx thought they would reach. The Soviet Union still used money, all the way to its collapse. Its destruction wasn't even Communism itself, but the massive expenditures involved in the arms race. Back at the time, it wasn't a sure thing that either the US or the USSR would survive the amount of money they spent on warfare. You never know though, China might do something unexpected.

You don't deserve more of a response than that. I can counter your argument with one word: China.
Besides, this has nothing to do with the OP's topic.

Actually you can't. China's version of Communism is unique, and they're still within the Dictatorship of the Proletariat, unless they declared they were a "Utopia" recently and I missed out on it. However, you were the one that decided to compare the new change to Communism-

By doing so, you opened up this conversation as a part of the subject of this thread. Now, I don't take responsibility for your inability to open up a few books and study all of the Communist doctrine from Marx all the way to Putin. Nor do I take responsibility for you not studying Communism in China and at least knowing a bit about Mao. However, when you do a comparison such as this, it would do you well to learn a bit more about the nature of the issue instead of just blathering a response.
The patch 3.2 change will not give everyone the best gear. The gear level given from EoC will be a full tier lower than the new coliseum. While the dailies will give 3 EoT a day, it will not be a major change. By the time casuals touch the EoT level of gear, most "geared out people" will be....geared out. The casuals will still be a tier behind.
This is far from the system that is supposed to be based on "you give all you can and take what you need." The casuals will still be in a grind for 2 or 3 months, because as casuals, they probably won't run every heroic every day. The only people who will be full geared out with all the easy gear quickly will be people who are already sitting at the best they can get in their current situation.
Not only that, this change will give the less than casual guilds a boost in the gear level of their members, allowing for faster downs of Ulduar level bosses. As these people might just be missing a piece or two of gear, it will allow for them to enter into the harder modes of Ulduar and enter into the coliseum faster.
There will still be geared people and non-geared people after this change, this is in no way a communist system. Taking evidence from the game itself- In TBC there were two badge vendors after the release of the Sunwell Raid. One vendored lower ilevel gear and one vendored higher ilevel gear. Was there a sudden jump in the gear level of casual players when the gear was released? Did it completely destroy the gaming community for this next level of gear to be released?
And finally, perhaps the most important point.-
You do not own the intellectual property that is this game. Sorry to inform you of this. The company, "Blizzard" owns all rights to this game and can do with it as it pleases.
