i've been trying to run the numbers in my head, but now that ret damage is changing will haste give a greater effect than before for a ret pally? most people are going to be specing for seals of the pure, and that might change the haste enough to matter in the long run with a bit more of it. Anyone have any hard numbers on this yet?

Not so. Divine storm can deal up to 4 melee hits i think. That stacks my fury of the five fights faster than any other skill i have.

From what i've been reading on the PTR it's now every melee hit, not just every white damage hit.

I guess the question would be, is that quick stack of the debuff worth the DPS loss with the 1hander? Probably not, but it would be nice to know for certain.
I wonder if it would be worth playing around with a Reckadin spec? I haven't bothered looking at that for awhile, but I think you'd still have to sacrifice far too much to get to it.
However, a protribution spec with maxed Reckoning will be even more disgusting now.

Haste is slightly more valueable than before. Its still nothing to stack over crit or AP.

Current number crunching on EJ suggests that we may eventually reach a point where Haste and Crit are even stat weight wise with Haste maybe even being better than Crit.
Haste is definitely way better than ArP. Not only does ArP affect only a small portion of our damage, but due to seal mechanics haste scales faster as well. In very good gear, haste is almost as good as crit. If we look to the future (3.3 and icecrown) its very possible, in fact probable, that haste will overtake crit.
If you're at hit and expertise cap, the perfect plate piece of armor for a ret pally (given current item limitations) would have Str, Stam, Crit, and Haste.

I have no idea how the reach that conclusion, but anyway...
For now however, it's still Crit and AP.

That goes for -any- stat that is worth more the more you stack vs. any stat that stays the same or gets worse the more you stack it.
When item levels are limited though....

can you tell me what you think about this build?

I would think this build would be better with two more points to toss in wherever:

Honestly, until everything is "said and done" and blizz finally finishes any tweaks they may or may not do for the next week or so most of you answers can be found here with the reasons to back them up.

Switching weapons is always a loss of dps and not worth it. Instead, stock up on haste pots would likely be a better solution and using them at the start of the boss fight.

One thing I was thinking about...would it be worthwhile to pick up a fast 1h sword and stack up the debuff quickly, then switch back to your 2hander for DPS?
No it wouldent. Understand that the first hits in your rotation often go off your weapon damage. Nerfing the hell out of that damage does not make up for itself through faster stacking. It -might- have before the old gradual stacking buff.
