He still does not answer to them. "Your Majesty" Is common courtesy - If you were talking to the Queen of England (If you're not English, that is) you would probably refer to her as "Your Majesty" Because she is royalty. They do not have to be your Royal Family to refer to them as such. Jaina is royalty herself, to Kul Tiras. She is also the leader of Theramore. Theramore and Kul Tiras are both not parts of Stormwind.
Stormwind could withdraw aid, but Jaina hardly had any under the Onyxia days, and managed to survive.

Which puts the Worgen into the same position as the league of Arathor; do what Varian says or risk losing Stormwind's support and give Gilneas to the Forsaken.Too bad it's not Stormwind that brings the Gilenians into the Alliance but the Night Elves eh? So they might lose Stormwind support but they still have Teldrassil, Exodar, Ironforge and Theramore.
She also answered to Varian during the battle of the Undercity, and refers to him as "Your Majesty" all the time. Her rank is also "Lady." She's nobility, but still answers to Varian. I'm not sure how much more obvious it can get than "My King."She's also the daughter of the leader of Kul Tiras, which would mean she had equal rank to the other kings and queens. They might call her Lady, but she's also one of the few surviving Archmages of Dalaran not in Northrend, so she has the power to keep her kingdom in control.
"The League of Arathor seek to reclaim lost land for their benefactors in Stormwind."
Even if what you say is true, and Varian has no direct authority over them (which I doubt) it still falls to a matter of clout; he can withdraw Stormwind's support and leave them to battle the Forsaken by themselves.
Varian cannot counterman an order from Prince Galen Trollbane, the current ruler of Stromguarde. Yes Stormwind is helping them... as allies, not as vassel to lord. In all honesty, Stormguarde and Gilenas could rejoin together, as they are part of the original Seven Kingdoms, and tell those in the south to take a flying leap if they wanted to. They won't, because that would just sunder the Kingdoms more, but they are allies, not servants of Stormwind.
I'm not saying that the all officially answer to Varian. I'm saying that Varian's influence is massive enough that they effectively do.Talk about double-speak.

She says "My King" in the ICC soundfiles, and yes, it's referring to Varian. Antonidas never had the title of "King" and I doubt she's talking about Daelin.
As for Jaina's survival without Stormwind, that can be attributed directly to Thrall, who will be replaced by Garrosh "Can't keep it in his pants" Hellscream come Cataclysm. Jaina will have no choice but to accept aid from Stormwind.
Not really, she can ask Exodar and Teldrassil for assistence.

There are also around 200,000 Blood Elves. And I thought the 200,000 in Stormwind was a typo?

forget about him, he's just another varian-zealot, simply not worth it.
sure dude, keep dreaming on and on. varian is the absolute master of the alliance, everyone has to do what he says or else. whatever.

The reason that Varian is at the forefront of Alliance lore is because Varian *is* the Alliance. It's Stormwind that makes or breaks the Alliance, and I think that it's baffling you can't recognize that. No, he isn't. Varian is not the Alliance Warchief, he is only one of the leaders, of the Kingdom of Stormwind, and only Stormwind. He works with the other races and the Human nations to fight back against the threat, but he is not the 'spirit' of the Alliance, if that was anyone, it was Lothar and Turaylon. Varian is not yet at those levels, but he is working that way, and if the grand Alliance is ever reformed, it might be with him at the helm, but I doubt it.
I also think that it should be stated that it's a moot point anyway, because the Alliance is just that: an Alliance united in a common cause. Every member of the Alliance has common enemies in the Horde, the Burning Legion, and the Scourge. Unity among all the Alliance races has been stronger than ever since the return of Varian and will likely only get stronger when the Horde starts blitzkrieging Alliance territory in Cataclysm.I have to disagree there; seeing as with his return he accused Thrall of trying to kill him, blames the orcs for the actions of a renegade group of Forsaken, and turned his back on the war against Yogg-Saron. Varian is merely one king, but compared to the other leaders; Genn, Tyrande and Malfurion, Velen and Magni, he's the youngest out of of all them, and the one who has had the least full on war experience.

200,000 Blood Elves? By God I hope you're joking, otherwise you just lost a mountain of credibility.
Rough calculation. There are, on average, 10 times more Blood Elves than High Elves from sources I have read. There are something between ~20,000 and 25,000 High Elves left. Therefore, there are something like 175,000 - 250,000 Blood Elves.

The Valience Expedition, led by Varian, contains in its ranks members of all races in the Alliance. They continue to support him after Wrathgate and Ulduar. Just because there's an abundance of players who hate conflict of any sort between the factions doesn't mean that the Alliance rank and file don't feel the same way as Varian; in fact, most of their actions indicate they do.I like how it's 'lead' by the King of Stormwind, yet he rarely if ever sets foot in the north. And I'd have to disagree again; Bolvar, General of the Vanguard, seems more then willingly to work with the Horde. Vereesa Windrunner, General of the Silver Convenant guards over Dalaran and the Argent Tourney along side the Sunreavers. The Explorers League, lead by Brann Bronzebeard ignored Varian's order of 'No Alliance Assistence in Ulduar' and helped the Kirin Tor and both Horde and Alliace in fighting the Death God. The Frostborn, lead by King Mauradin Bronzebeard, fight against the Lich King, but only as a favour to his brother Magni who asked in place of Varian.
So I doubt the Frostborn, the Explorers and the High Elves of the Covenant think the same way as Varian and the Vanguard.

Oh no, did I hurt the feelings of the grammar impaired Horde?
hardly, I just see a varian-zealot that believes him to be the thrall of the alliance, he's not, but I won't argue with ya on that, I already had my fill of varian zealots.
he's the youngest, most inexperienced leader on the alliance, and the rest of the races don't have to obey him on everything he says.
after all, he ordered jaina to give garona to him, and jaina didn't obeyed.
jaina teleported him away on the undercity and he didn't took any measures against her, because she's not under his comand.
the united states and canada may be friends, and if the president of the united states asks the canadian president a favor, the canadian president can agree that favor, or refuse, because they are just allies, but each president rules their own nation.
same here, varian can't tell the other leaders what to do, and anyone who wishes to leave the alliance can do so, after all the original grand alliance (7 human nations, plus ironforge gnomergan and quel'talas) separated itself after the second war.
why? did gilneas had to obey the leader of the alliance back then? (wich was terenas BTW) nope, terenas ordered the construction of the internament camps for the orcs, those on the alliance who wanted to colaborate did so, and those who didn't wanted it refused.
the alliance doesn't have a warchief, and varian isnt' the "spirit of the alliance"· because he never made it in the first place, and was missing on the first 3 years of warcraft too.
if anything, Lothar could be the closest equivalent to the supreme lead of the alliance, but since lothar is sadly not here anymore, that means alliance has no leader.
if u can't see that (even when pretty much all of the varian fans who are not zealots can see it) then I simpy don't wanna waste time arguing with ya.
