I've just found out that WOW will no longer provide patch support for Windows 2000 in the very near future. As I run 2000 XP on my PC does this mean I can't play (as I can't patch).
Never found anything as stable as 2000 and if you think I'm going to Vista, think again.
Go Windows 7 and never look back. Seriously, in beta, it's better then both Vista and XP ever were.
Also it's like Clopert said, you can play, but if you encounter problems they won't do anything to fix 'em.

Linux is not supported, but it works :P
Linux only works if you don't have an ATI video card or don't need the minimap. The ATI linux drivers have some issues with the pbuffers used int he minimap. I know this from sad experience and a week of trying to work around it. :<

What's so wrong with XP? (wrong other than that it's Windows, i mean)
I can't complain about any stability issues, and you are sure to have less compatibility or "no more support" issues than with 2000.
