so uhhh tell me...what's the disadvantages of a fast tanking weapon aside from a slight reduction in TPS. enlighten me plz because i read that so much but no one has a good reason aside from TPS.

yeah... too fast :D
i'm trying to follow the threat stuff... slow dps weapon = more threat for DW...
And
http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47508
is good cause of the socket, i can gem it with more defense(plus the new enchant) or i can go with the basic expertise, hit rating or stamina...
Right now i'm trying to figure out what i need most.

Kind of pushing the line on necroing aren't we? And not even for something profound.
The entire point of DW tanking is because it's a unique little snowflake and looks cool so all the kiddies will want to do it.
DW has superior single target threat over two handers due to more frequent Rune Strikes, much more steady threat due to more frequent attacks, and the option to be more flexible with your weapons.
DPS/DPS will generate large amounts of threat and if you have no need for the excess threat you can start swapping in tank weapons, DPS/Tank or Tank/Tank, for increased avoidance.
At the cost of some stamina and missed white hits you gain the option for superior single target threat or superior avoidance over a two hander.

so since i have no threat issues wearing 2 fast tanking weapons and no one has yet to come up with a reason to wear 2 slow dps weapons besides the increased threat. i'll continue to believe that 2 tanking weapons is better...for me anyway.
aside from that i have a new question. For DW frost tanking i've read in numerous threads here that you never gem/enchant for expertise. Their reasoning being that expertise only affects single target threat and it's a waste of a gem/enchant. Now if that's true...what's the point of dps weapons? aren't they only single target threat?
it confuses me a bit since the same people are stressing dps weapons for tanking for increased single target threat then say expertise isn't worth getting because it's only for single target threat.
so my understanding is they need dps weapons to compensate their reduced threat because their expertise is too low. or am i just being retarded? i'm not trying to make waves but more trying to understand the reasoning.
@rimewind
druids don't care too much about weapon speed because their dmg is taken from the dps of the weapon and not the speed. weapon speed doesn't affect druids at all. unless their in moonkin or caster =P

Which also makes no bloody sense to me as, You may not do as much damage per strike but you do them much more often. Shouldn't that give you a more steady TPS due to hitting much more often?
The only "strike" you get to do more often is Rune Strike.
The
other
strikes
(and some of your other
abilities
) won't come any faster, they simply won't hit as hard. That's why DKs (including tanks) generally want weapons with high base damage (and since DPS is normalized, that means you want slow weapons).
