So, does this now mean that DW frost tanking is now possible?

DW tanking was already a viable choice.

DW tanking was already a viable choice.
not exactly, having a weaker Rune Strike was a big, big problem in threat gen since it relied on the 2 handers damage to be a really big hitter.
Now that we can hit with the off hand on Rune strike, it really does bring DW tanking to the table. But it still will only really apply to the really well geared that can go without Rune of SG

well, this is a ptr build, so hopefully more 1 handed slow tanking weapons will pop out from some more bosses!

So the DW DK Tanks doing ToC25 heroic with success is proof it isn't viable?
DW tank doesn't have major threat issue, simple because tanks create so much threat already. And it's very rare that in a fight dps focus 100% time on a boss. Example being Lord Jara or Twins.
The threat issue MIGHT be an issue on like Hodir or Vezax. But my experience isn't good enough to comment on this.
But please don't come with this it not being viable because of RS. Look for yourself:

The RS buff to ToT is gonna make DW Tanks threat even better.

I like how they've been quoted in the past that they wanted DKs to 2h tank, and then do this.
Silly blizzard.
