Hey everyone,
I just started a new paladin character (just hit level 20) and decided to go down the protection tree. I like to tank plus i'm levelling with a rouge friend by my side for 90% of the time so don't feel i need major dps.
Question i have is how important is int for a prot spec? At the moment i've really focused on stam and str and seem to be ok within a group of mobs.
Obviously my mana is quite low not having any int so it can run out fast. if i cast a a couple of heals and a consecration or two. But ususally i don't need to heal only when we get into some trouble, but when that happens the mana is gone like that *poof*
So is int a major help? Should i be looking for Stam - Str then Int in bonuses? Or just try and get stam up high so i can take more dmg?

You're doing it right with stam and strenght - remember - you're a tank.
Prot pallies are good to AoE tank several mobs at once.
If you need health try using seal of light.
If you need mana try using seal of wisdom.
Outside that - conserve your mana or grab a healer. The "outside" heals will give you some mana as well.

In TBC spellpower and int were not wholly irrelevant to a protection paladin. Having recently resumed playing the game since the expansion and rolling a paladin I had a similar query.
So I spent a couple of minutes reading the FAQs and guides which answered my question almost immediately several times over.

Grind it out until you hit L30/40, then you'll get all your mana back from Blessing of Sanctuary/Holy Shield, providing you have some avoidance gear.

Int became wholly irrelevant for us when BoS was fixed.
