If you have the WotLK disc(s), all you need to install is just those. You don't have to install vanilla, then BC, then WotLK. The install disc(s) for WotLK have the previous 2 versions of the game built into them, unlike the BC install disc(s). Once you install WotLK, then all you have to do is start the game and log in and you will then start downloading the necessary patches to bring you current. It's a much faster method than downloading the entire game from the account management page and then installing, unless you don't have the WotLK install disc(s) handy.
Im pretty sure he doesnt have the wotlk discs with him which is why he posted "or do I need to buy the disk"

Yeah, I wasn't sure if OP was referring to needing previous versions of the install discs or just WotLK, which is why I threw that out there. If OP does not have the WotLK discs but has the vanilla install discs, it's actually almost the exact same download size to patch vanilla up to WotLK so it would be faster just doing the full DL rather than installing vanilla then patching up to the current version.
