Love the idea of a guild news feed with items dropped from other the other raid grps. Also the idea of be able to see what everyone can make profession wise is nice (why can't they just add this to the amoury)

Perfect opportunity for me to wonder this:
WHAT IF...I decide to make a solo/two-person guild, and level it (slowly) all on my own?
Wouldn't that just give me a big extra bank, an extra and useful talent tree 'all for myself' and plenty of heirlooms I'd never lose?
Yeah, so? Not much difference with a bank alt in a guild all by himself right now. My bank alt has a guild of his own (Schuur) with six guildbanktabs (I think), his own bank and lotsa stuff. Makes leveling professions for (my or others) new characters a lot easier. It also means if I need an item crafted I have generally have at least some of the ingredients.

So... new heirloom items that are binded to the guild? does that mean some level 80s can mail them to a new level 1 player on a different account with no high-level characters and all he has to do is join the lv80's guild? am I hearing this right?
I think this is good, because it will mean people can get to 80 faster. but we'll need some sort of safeguard to stop the lv1 leaving the guild, all heirloom items in tow. something like "you can't leave the guild unless you put all the heirloom items back in the guild bank".
Otherwise this system will be abused by lv80's pretending to be newbies to steal the other lv80's heirlooms, then get some new lowbies in the guild, who are also lv80s pretending to be lowbies, doing it to get the heirlooms back, and it will just end up becoming a server-wide rejection of new members, meaning the GENUINE newbies get locked out of every guild on the server, thinking it could be another ninja!
EDIT: To clarify, can you please talk about just the heirloom items, and not all forms of guild leveling.
Possibly in the Cataclysm guild housing you would have a Guild Talent that drops a vendor picking out of a bunch of heirlooms that are unique to everything else from that NPC. So you can only take 1 at a time or maybe make it unique (2).
