New Ads on Wowhead

So, those new ads that redirect me to a new page and pop up three "OK/Cancel" windows to get out of are THE DEVIL. Get rid of those. Please.
To clarify, it is for some disk cleanup "You may be infected with spyware" nonsense. It resizes then minimizes your browser window then engages in its "My popups are really system dialog boxes" shenanigans. I don't mind WoW related ads, and I know you guys have to eat. But c'mon people, no redirects and no messing around outside the bannerspace, I don't think that's too much to ask.

I don't think it's too much to ask either, but apparently our advertising networks CAN'T GET IT THROUGH THEIR HEADS.
These ads are
absolutely
not allowed on Wowhead. Reputable advertisers do not allow them in their ad networks either, and we only advertise with reputable networks. The trouble is, unscrupulous advertisers will
hide
this code in a banner that, when it's being tested for malware by the ad network, somehow loads an entirely different, perfectly normal/acceptable advertisement. All of the normal techniques we use to track them down don't work, since they depend on tracking the location that the actual banner served from, and these redirect you without a banner ever loading. We have to either count on the ad networks to pull them themselves--which works MOST of the time, but obviously not all--or we have to rely on our overworked, two-person ad ops team to go through all of the hundreds of thousands of possible banners by hand and pull them out. There will definitely be more angry emails to our ad networks going out today. Sorry about this.

Another ad that I'm having problems with is the Congratulations! Free Apple iPhone ads. They have imbedded audio that you cannot turn off permanently, so you're stuck hearing it as you browse from page to page. Usually it's found at the bottom so you really have no choice but to hear that "you have been registered to win a free iPhone."
It's really annoying and honestly gives me reason to go elsewhere.
There's no reason to go elsewhere. Simply report the ad to us following the steps detailed in the
Reporting Advertisements post
and we'll have the offending ad taken care of as soon as possible. We don't like ads like that, either, and they simply will not be tolerated on the site.

Besides, going elsewhere probably won't solve the problem. These ads are popping up everywhere. In the last month or two I've seen a major slide back in the integrity of these ad makers. For awhile they were actually behaving themselves somewhat, but recently they've gotten really obnoxious. The ads chirp, jabber, and flash, completely disregarding the desires of the various site owners. I'm guessing some marketing guy who wears too much Patchouli decided they can make more money this way.
