Need help with ret pally dps standard

Hi. My guild is starting Naxx 10 mans soon, and I need to know what a good ball-park ret pally dps minimum level would be good to shoot for. I've never played a ret pally so I really have no idea what I should expect from our resident pally. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

mrgrummage has an awesome sticky on the ways of the ret paladin which id advise you to look through.

also, im not sure what the "dps minimum" would be since varying fights can significantly alter your damage done (heigan's dance), but when i started in crafted epics and blues, i pulled around 2-2.5k dps on most boss fights.

I did look through that site and will definitely forward that to our pally, thank you. The dilemma I'm having here is that our pally is pulling about 1400 dps in heroics on a good day (that's overall dps, not specific fights). She's expressed interest in doing Naxx with us but I'm thinking her dps is pretty low. I'd like to take her, but I don't think it'd be fair for the rest of the raid if she's not pulling her own weight.

I realized that I know nothing about ret pallies so I figured I'd go here and ask to make sure before I talk to her.
